Thanks Ms Obama: Why Obesity Rates are Falling Among Preschoolers

Good job promoting getting off your ass no matter how mad the Repub were at the message

You can't really be this retarded, and draw breath without the aid of an iron lung.

Clearly you are trolling.

the left sure do LOVE their masters it seems...Mabell say she is going to save YOUR fat children because she doesn't think you as a Parent are able to do to it and I'll be this article shows up from one of her cult members...Personally I was offended when Mabell Obama said the obese children is a National Security threat for our country...but it seems her admires believe she can say anything she wants.

Michelle Obama names obesity as greatest national security threat

Hold up because this is a first. Are you saying that healthy fresh foods are cheaper than McD's? Or fresh healthy foods are generally less expensive than crap food? I really really hope not

ANYONE who cooks, knows that fresh, healthy food, is far cheaper than fast food.

You're an agenda driven troll who probably couldn't boil water, but anyone who cooks knows this.

Chayote squash - $.50 each
Anaheim Chilies - $.99 a pound
Pork Shoulder - $1.79 LB
Tomatillos - $.99 LB

Cost of a great pot of Chili Verde - $5.77

I still don't understand how people have obese pre schoolers. My five year old eats food pretty much 24 hours a day and he looks like I starve him. I can literally count his ribs.

He probably runs around all day and burns off the calories.

And you probably feed him decent food. Junk foods can make children lethargic.

I LOVE when you guys refuse to give a obama credit for anything.... Its funny...predictable but funny.

Lol....greed and a desire to not lift a finger at any time, or to ever have to make a choice and live with the consequences.

BTW, cc is lying. Fresh spinach, I bought some today $1.99 for a 1 lb bag...that's a good sized bag. Chicken breasts are $.99/lb (foster farms, no hormones) and ground turkey is $1.99/lb.

Ground beef is $2.99-$4/lb.

I got 2 bags of spinach for $5 but that was the sale price. Originally it was $3.14 a bag. That's a good sized bag if you counting bag size but it makes maybe 4 salads or 1 side once its cooked down.

My bad ground turkey is cheaper than the beef now. Where do you live? I'm in MD and the prices are a little different here. Finding a no hormones chicken for that price is not the norm maybe a sale price.

Either way comparing only prices is one thing. Living in America where you're working or gone to and from work 10-12 hours a day people look for the quick and easy. Again not their fault, people need to work and need to eat. The options available...I mean, you cant sit here and seriously say America promotes a healthy lifestyle or eating habits. If it did we wouldn't be #1 in fat asses in the world.

There are ways to do it sure! Like someone else said eat a bag of potatoes :doubt:
I saw Bear Grylls eat worms and they are full of protein! :eusa_shifty:

Sure they have.

And he hasn't walked on them yet, either...despite the claims of the obamite marxites.

What it is CC, is that you're a mindless hack, dishonestly trying to fabricate a point that is so utterly absurd that the rest of us are laughing at you.

Life isn't cheap and easy. There's a reason work is called work, and there's a reason we work HARD to get ahead. If you aren't willing to work hard, you won't get ahead...and that means when you're at home as well as at work. You don't clock in for 8 hours or whatever, then sit on your ass at home and expect worker bees to stuff you full of free food and turn the channels on your tv for you. You find ways to make a little $$ go a long way, and you swallow the extra work that goes with it. That's the way people of character do it, that's the way people in third world countries do it, and that's the way Americans USED to do it..and need to do again.

You're confusing "working hard" with "time to have a homecooked meal everyday".

I eat at home Breakfast, carry my lunch and have time to cook in the evenings. BUT I recognize that THATS JUST ME. I also recognize that EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT and my not have a wife to split the duties or a schedule that works.

You cant sit here and honestly say that Americans are ALL FAT because EVERYONE shares the same character? I mean you can but the odds of that being true are slimmer than my original point. The lack or healthy cheap food options.

I honestly think you're retired and so everyone should be like you. I'm just recognizing the differences even tho I choose not to live that way. I'm sorry?

oh, just stop this BS - as if nobody ever has cooked or shopped for food.

If the person is alone - he/she can cook a bit more adn have the dinner for more than on day ( same is for the family, if there is no time).
Food cooked by yourself doe not need to be cooked every night.
You can cook for a week ahead on a eekend and freeze some of it and just put to a resfrigerator the other part.

If one wants to solve the problem - one is finding the ways and means to do it, if one does not - he fid excuses.

So stop this excuses for simple laziness - people simply do not want to cook and prefer fast food because they are lazy, not becaseu it is cheaper.

And the reason Americans are fat is plain and simple - THEY EAT TOO MUCH.

No one associated with the government to include Michelle Obama, has the right to dictate what anyone eats. Enough with the librul, "I know what's best for you." Parents can decide for their own children.. Gee, what a concept!

sure. if thy pay for it. If the kid gets free meal at school - it is not up t the parents to decide what is going to be served. If you do not like it - bring your own food.

You want to cut down on obesity amongst the welfare class, reduce their foodstamps.

Instant weight loss..

very true. Americans are fat becaseu they eat too much.

Cut the calorie intake - and you will loose weight. It is not a rocket science.

Hold up because this is a first. Are you saying that healthy fresh foods are cheaper than McD's? Or fresh healthy foods are generally less expensive than crap food? I really really hope not

sure they are. cook your food yourself and that is WAY cheaper than eating at McD. and cheaper than processed crap food as well.

But you have to buy it, clean it, chop it and cook it. then you have to clean the utensils, the kitchen, the pots, and the stove. That requires EFFORT, TIME and WILL.

meh, you'd rather go to McD, or defrost that pizza from a fridge, right?

I almost never eat out and eat very healthy so you've got the wrong impression.

Just like the idea that a pack of hot dogs are more expensive than a salad. Have you bought spinach or arugula lately? Its high as hell and that JUST the veggies. Ground beef is cheaper than ground turkey. I substitute meats in some recipes with mushrooms but thats ME. Most people dont eat that way because dollar menus are EVERYWHERE. Cheap fast and easy like busy people like it for convenience. You can say ALL those people are stupid but consider that there are more fat asses in America than anywhere else, can you say there is something wrong with everyone else or a problem with the cheap healthy food options?

I am always buying my food and it is always raw products. And there were times ( not that long ago - 10-11 years ago) when I was living on a 20$ bucks per week for food - so I know from the very experience of my own, what is cheaper.

And you never get fat if you do not have enough money for food. If you are fat - you eat too much.

seriously? You really think I said that?

If the person is alone - he/she can cook a bit more adn have the dinner for more than on day ( same is for the family, if there is no time).

People can do a lot of things. Like I said I saw Bear Grylls eating worms.

Its not excuses, I simply recognize that not every has the time in their schedule or the money in their pockets to eat healthy all the time. You don't. Work on empathy.

I'm good. The reason Americans are fat is another reason (I know you only think theres one and that's reason is whatever you say it is) but if we're going ot be honest. They eat too much and not ENOUGH of the good calories. Too much fat, calories etc packed into a breakfast sandwich or other things
