Tanning and Birth Control

If you live in California and are a minor aged 12 or older, you can get birth control and other medical treatment without parental knowledge, however, you can not use a tanning bed even with parental consent.

There are no proven fatalities or serious injuries related to tanning beds, and 10 deaths and 2200 injuries from RU-486, why are you confused by this?
