Socialist Healthcare: Waiting time for a surgery in Spain is now 93 days!

Surgery waiting times in Spain: 93 days, slightly down from 2017

Wow! I waited less than a month from when my insurance approved my back surgery until I got it.

Your insurance company approved your back surgery?!?!?! That’s ridiculous. Your doctor has to get the insurance company’s permission to have back surgery.

I went to the doctor. He said I needed to see a knee surgery. He referred me to the knee surgeon and that surgeon decides if I need the surgery. Not the fucking insurance company.

How does Spain's GDP compare to the US?

In-Depth Analysis by Team of UMass Amherst Economists Shows Viability of Medicare For All

“The most fundamental goals of Medicare for All are to significantly improve health care outcomes for everyone living in the United States while also establishing effective cost controls throughout the health care system.

"'These two purposes are both achievable,' says lead author Robert Pollin, Distinguished Professor in economics at UMass Amherst and co-director of PERI. 'As of 2017, the U.S. was spending about $3.24 trillion on personal health care—about 17 percent of total GDP.'

"'Meanwhile, 9 percent of U.S. residents have no insurance and 26 percent are underinsured—they are unable to access needed care because of prohibitively high costs.'

"'Other high-income countries spend an average of about 40 percent less per person and produce better health outcomes. Medicare for All could reduce total health care spending in the U.S. by nearly 10 percent, to $2.93 trillion, while creating stable access to good care for all U.S. residents.'"

Wow so they live to 180 years old now?

.

Bet me, slow Joe. I will take the money I win from you and give it to charity.......put up or STFU....it's really that simple.

The US obsession anything like public health care opens the door to socialism and God forbid, communism, is just that, an obsession. We have a superb public health system in Australia that I have no regrets whatsoever for taxes I’ve paid to maintain. And guess what? - We haven’t turned into any kind of socialist/communist/ totalitarian society. Add the benefit of keeping people, who otherwise couldn’t afford private insurance, well enough to be employable and pay taxes and it all more than balances out. On top of that we have the Gov’t financed pharmaceutical benefits scheme. I won’t frighten you lot with any details about that. You’ll be looking for reds under the bed.

Republicans: "Are the poor clinics and work-for-welfare agencies still in operation?"

Democrats: "Yes, more's the pity."

Republicans: "I am greatly relieved to hear it. The poor can go to there."

Democrats: "Many cannot go to the poor clinics. And many would rather die."

Republicans: "Then they had best die, and thereby decrease the surplus population."

Bahhhhhh... humbug.

LOL hell no. I and my wife are college students full time,I get disability for a back injury damn near 10 years ago. At best she was making 13$ an hour,we still got medicaid for us and the kids and it was fast as can be simply because we had choices of who to use etc. 100% government controlled healthcare is a horrible idea. I agree there should be SOMETHING done but complete government control is not the answer.

Looks like that "gubmint healthcare" is working pretty well for you huh?

Yet as long as Trump promises you he'll beat up on brown people, you are all for him.
Yeah, sure I am, Joey... that's why I voted for Shrillary... that's why I slam Drumpf on here all the time.

You're hallucinating... and full of venom to spit at people who oppose your "take" on Illegal Immigration.

After all, it worked so well for you fools on November 8, 2016, didn't it?

You retards live in a Binary Universe, and you never learn from your mistakes.

Now, if you don't mind, the conservation needs to turn back to the subject matter of the OP...

Not only that but your employer gets to decide what insurance you can have

Well in most cases they ARE paying for it. Once again you demonstrate that you simply have no idea how businesses are and MUST be run.

I'm having my knee surgery this afternoon, when this started Blue cross at first denied my MRI claim UNTIL the Dr. showed them that my cartilage was indeed torn up in there. Apparently they never even looked at it until then.
