Given the voluminous number of criminal charges that multiply-indicted former president Donald Trump is facing, figuring out which prosecutor gets first dibs has been a bit of a guessing game.

The three main criminal prosecutions against Trump are his classified documents case in Florida, his election interference case in Washington DC, and the Stormy Daniels hush money case in New York, where Trump is accused of falsifying documents to cover up his payments.

While Special Counsel Jack Smith is overseeing the prosecution of the first two of these cases, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is in charge of the hush money prosecution — which is essentially an election interference case because Trump likely sought to hide his payments to Daniels to avoid tanking his 2016 election chances.

D.A. Bragg has long expected to defer to the primacy of the federal prosecutions in setting his trial dates, but now, due to a number of factors, it unexpectedly looks like his case may be the first criminal trial to actually commence.

Yep, it looks like the Stormy Daniels hush money case may be Trump's 1st criminal trial. What do you think?

From the OP:

District Attorney Alvin Bragg faces a big problem. He has to piggyback a misdemeanor to a second felony to get a felony verdict. Otherwise, Trump would only face a misdemeanor state charge.

The prosecution has to prove that Trump intentionally broke a felonious federal election law. In other words, the prosecutors must prove that Trump illegally paid hush money to Stormy Daniels to cover up crimes under federal election law, which would make it a conspiracy to illegally promote a candidate and a New York state felony.

This is the least serious crime that Trump’s accused of. A guilty verdict would come solely under a highly unusual charge under New York state law, making this charge look political from the beginning. Moreover, Trump’s attorneys are prepared for this trial.

It's not a crime to pay off hoes

What is wrong with Christian conservatives? Trump is guilty of far more and far worse sex scandals than Bill Clinton, but most Christian conservatives think Trump was sent by God.

Democrat supporters only care about Trump trials and fetal murder. Republican supporters care about the country going down the tubes.
The country has been going down the tubes ever since President Reagan persuaded Republicans that it is acceptable to raise military spending while cutting taxes for the rich.

These unique interpretations of law will wind up biting prosecutors in the ass, their trying to pack 10 pounds of shit in a 5 pound bag.

So this will be the latest thing for the ShitLords to cling to because all the other crap is fizzling out?

You dipshits get some points for persistence. 8 years this garbage has been going on.

You also lose many points for not figuring out that there's no "there" there and moving on.

30-40 years Trump's been in the spotlight, yet the onslaught of crazy accusations only started in 2015.

Why is that?

Oh yeah, that's when he left The Demcrat party and they started viewing him as a potential threat/enemy to

their hegemony.

Trump has committed no crimes, yet your ilk allows all our laws to be broken by Joey Capone.....

What's wrong with Dimtard ilk is the better question. Chasing around an innocent man for enforcing our laws while allowing Joey Capone to run a 30s Chicago out of the White House.

This country has been going down the tubes since the Muslim in Chief dragged it there libtard. Trump pulled it back out and will have to do so again.
And, you know who "the rich" are now right?

THE DATE IS SET

A New York judge says former President Donald Trump’s hush-money trial will go ahead as scheduled with jury selection starting on March 25.

NEW YORK (AP) — Donald Trump’s hush-money trial will go ahead as scheduled with jury selection starting on March 25, a New York judge ruled Thursday, turning aside demands for a delay from the former president’s defense lawyers.

The decision means that the first of Trump’s four criminal prosecutions to proceed to trial is a case centered on years-old accusations that he sought to bury stories about extramarital affairs that arose during his 2016 presidential campaign. Other cases charge him with plotting to overturn the results of the 2020 election and illegally hoarding classified documents at his Florida estate.

Seems to me, the recipient of hush money is who should be charged with a crime - EXTORTION.

Yes.

Well it will be the first of several criminal charges that he faces.

Thus he has made history as being indicted and now we just have to

wait and see if he is convicted.

Hey Biden can campaign on the following , At least I have never been indicted for any crime

But it wasn't for a lack of trying from the other side So I do know what it feels like to be persecuted so I can relate

Democrat supporters only care about Trump trials and fetal murder. Republican supporters care about the country going down the tubes.

Not they don't.

If Republicans cared, they'd be pushing for Proportional Representation, they'd be pushing for all sorts of things they don't even know about.

They want to be ENTERTAINED and Trump is the most entertaining (behind him is Biden, who does it without even meaning to).
