Sarah Palin's War On Coins

Despite some people's attempt to ridicule this woman she is trying to make a point that there seems to be a deliberate attempt to remove God from the public and even private square and this is just another pattern in a disturbing trend.

I myself do not have a problem with removing God from money if it was a genuine attempt to preserve the separation of church and state but the underlying motives of the left is to create a socialist state where the government is a spiritual deity of the people that has the power to bring change to their lives.

So in this case, it's the Republicans fault. Did you even bother to read the original post?

I went back and read the last line but the fact that everything was taken out of context has to be questioned. Perhaps she mentioned the fact that Obama covered images of God at a local church where he spoke. She could have added that into the whole thing and put together a picture that there has been an attempt to take God out of the thoughts and minds of the people. She could have also mentioned that putting God to the edge might have been another element to this disturbing trend even if it was being done by republicans in power at the time.

Lets make a truce. You can call off your war on God and any private religion and we will call off our war on Obama. You allow us to worship the diety of our choice we will allow you to worship the one of your choice. After all, it is America and everyone should be able to worship the religion that they choose whether that be christainity or obaminism.

I need to tell you something Dogbert....the Africa comment was here say, from a bunch of aides after mcCain lost the election. They had it in for her...

Why?

Why did they have it in for her?

Why would they have it in for such a great conservative republican...so great in fact, that many feel that she should be the next nominee?

Yet another long deflection from the OP. You people crack me up.

btw, there was television in 1929.

and FDR made good use of it.

Roosevelt was most well know for the radio and his fireside chats, but he also was the first president to address the nation on television in the 30's.
I'll grant you - there's weren't that many TV's around then though.

& then there's this: a fun historical tidbit:
"Herbert Hoover (then Secretary of Commerce) and Walter S. Gifford (President of AT&T) participated in a conversation via television hook-up between Washington and New York in 1927."

Can you imagine if Dick Cheney said this about Bush 43? Picture it.

so obama believes we deserved 9/11, the govt started aids to kill the blacks, and america should be damned because california has a 3 strike law. all worse than believing Africa is a country?

Now that is going too far. I don't think Obama believes that. That's like saying anyone who goes to Church believes Homosexuals are deviant creatures or something like that.

I wouldn't go to a church for 20 years where that was preached. (deviant creatures) but obama continued to attend that fuckstain's church.

Exactly. Barack Obama is Reverend Wright, is ACORN, is Alinsky. Many of us knew these things long ago.

No wonder why she didn't want anyone to hear her speech last night.

Palin rallies thousands of abortion opponents - Jonathan Martin - POLITICO.com

She then got a standing ovation from most of the crowd, but a few had begun to leave before she even finished and within seconds of her concluding, scores more got up and put on their jackets as they walked away.

In addition to the suggestion that government officials would consider hastening the death of the infirm or handicapped, she began her remarks with a puzzling commentary on the design of newly minted dollar coints.

Noting that there had been a lot of “change” of late, Palin recalled a recent conversation with a friend about how the phrase “In God We Trust” had been moved to the edge of the new coins.

“Who calls a shot like that?” she demanded. “Who makes a decision like that?”

She added: “It’s a disturbing trend.”

Unsaid but implied was that the new Democratic White House was behind such a move to secularize the nation’s currency.

But the new coins – concerns over which apparently stemmed from an email chain letter widely circulated among conservatives – were commissioned by the Republican-led Congress in 2005 and approved by President Bush.
Damn those Republicans! Now they're trying to push "In God We Trust" off our coins! That's unAmerican dammit!

In a related note, I found the person that Sarah Palin can probably most relate to:

It no wonder it took her 5, or 6 colleges before she finally graduated with a degree in communications no less. LOL! :cuckoo:

Gee, that almost sounds like it came out of Rush Limbaugh's mouth.

Oh. That's right! It did.

Tommy's Limbaugh implant is working just fine. Beep Beep. Just fine.

You listen to Rush?

There may be hope for you yet.
I've been listening for over 20 years.

If it has done anything, it has only made me more liberal.

Way to go Rush!
