Open to conjecture is the reasoning behind the warm embrace with which Franklin Roosevelt met the homicidal, pathological regime that drowned Russia in blood.
1. 'If at first you don't succeed....'
Vladimir Lenin, founder of the Bolshevik Party; returned to Russia from exile in April 1917, and advocated armed rebellion to establish Communist state.
An interesting side note: evidence suggests that Germany, with the aim of destabilizing Russia, aided Lenin in returning from Switzerland, ...and actually funded the Bolshevik Party.
"Lenin believed that he could orchestrate a new revolution in much the same way that the previous one had happened [against the Czar], by instigating large street demonstrations. ... he began to work toward seizing power for the Bolsheviks using every means available. The first attempt took place in late April, during a sharp disagreement between the provisional government and the Petrograd Soviet over the best way to get Russia out of World War I. As frustrated military personnel began to demonstrate in the streets, the Bolsheviks attempted to agitate the troops by demanding the ouster of the provisional government. However, no coup grew out of these demonstrations, and they dissipated without incident." SparkNotes The Russian Revolution 1917 1918 Lenin and the Bolsheviks
2. What is important, though, is that, ultimately, it did succeed, and Lenin created a functioning police state.
A "police state....."
Did Roosevelt know?
In 1913, Franklin Roosevelt is appointed Assistant Secretary of the Navy under President Woodrow Wilson. Know what Wilson's position was vis-a-vis Russia?
In 1920 Roosevelt runs as the Democratic candidate for Vice-President.
Think he knew about the atrocities in Russia?
"...on October 24, 1917 (old calendar) Leninist cadres forcibly seized control of all the power centers in Petrograd: railroads, mail, phones, banks, bridges..... Lenin arrived at the Congress to proclaim the "worldwide socialist revolution."
"Worldwide."
Yet FDR signed an agreement with Litvinov in 1933 wherein Russia promised not to move for a socialist government in America.
3. The Commintern, the Communist International, was founded in Moscow in March, 1919. Not far behind it, the Communist Party, USA (CPUSA) was founded in Chicago in September, 1919. While the archives are rich with their literature, they are rarely studied, as most academic historians are on the left and have little interest in revealing or discussing the revelations or machinations therein.
Further, Yeltsin had declassified many documents in the 1990’s which proved that everything the anti-communists said, was true!
a. In 1919, Executive Sec’y of CPUSA, Charles Ruthenberg, wrote the following to Moscow: “Hail to the dictatorship of the proletariat. Long live the Russian Soviet Socialist Republic. Long live the Communist International.” A loyal Soviet patriot, his ashes are buried in the wall of the Kremlin.
Think Roosevelt knew?
b. From the November 24, 1919 application of the CPUSA to the Commintern: “The final struggle of the communist proletariat will be waged in the United States. Our conquest of power alone assuring the world Soviet Republic! Realizing all of this, the Communist Party prepares for the struggle. Long live the Communist International, long live the world revolution!’
Roosevelt knew....but he didn't care.
He bonded the United States to this materialist, totalitarian regime.
Why?
