Just as with anyone who feels insecure, Russia would not have to point at the US as foolish if it did not have serious self doubt. In the world, very few would agree that, between the two, America is more 'foolish' than Russia.
'W' was an immense embarrassment and the world looked in 'shock and awe' at what America had produced as its 'leader'. It induced fear, but not respect. Even if Obama is not feared, in general he is respected on the world stage. I am not a supporter, and regret that the previous administration made his election, as with so many other unfortunate results, inevitable.
If the US had someone like Eisenhower in place, things would be better than the recent administrations; this is said not as an admirer of Ike, just that he had a reasonable and moderate aura. He was not an overbearing persona, not glaringly intelligent, but could speak and reason without excess hyperbole, either political or religious.
It would definitely not be good to see someone too charismatic come to the fore. Americans are much too emotional and the country is much too powerful to give itself over to someone like Putin. A 'strong man' could be disastrous. Rational and solid would be nice. No one presenting at this time fits that.

The rest of the state has a minimum wage of 9.32 with the exception of the city of Seatac where the minimum wage is 15.00 an hour. Seatac is in King county.

How many posts are there saying high minimum wage kills jobs?

If that were true then Seattle, the King, Snohomish counties would be seeing high unemployment.

Which has not happened.

Instead in King County, where Seattle is, the unemployment rate is 3.3%. In Snohomish County the unemployment rate is 3.6%

$15.00 an hour is barely a living wage, if at all; self-sufficiency in most states is $25.00 an hour.

NEWSFLASH ! Minimum wage was never intended to be a "living wage".

Because you said so? A 40 hour work week should earn a person a livable wage and in case you haven`t noticed, the elites have been taking the good jobs out of this country for the past 30 years or so. It`s tough to compete with people making $2 an hour.

And the reason those jobs left is exactly due to higher minimum wages.

We're now stuck with nothing more than the service industry as the main entry level jobs and they're simply not worthy of living wages.
The idea is you enter the workforce and with education and time you move on to jobs where the real money is.

There aren`t many places where you can make "real money". You want to penalize people for not having a college degree? Do you know you`re subsidizing those low wages with food stamps? The ultra wealthy Walton family sure knows how to pick the pockets of easily played taxpayers.

Did Russia annex part of Georgia when they invaded under Bush Jr? No they backed off, but they sure did annex part of the Ukraine.
