Admirable of Walker to have done this......But who knew that the Koch brothers were closeted environmentalists?

Thank you for exposing yourself for exactly what you are.
A flaming hypocrite.
If a Democrat Governor did this - you would have the opposite tone.
Showing that you are not at all interested in what is right or wrong - just left or right.

Right or wrong? You're now saying it's right for the government to tell you what kinds of soap to use?

Well?

No one is telling anyone what kind of soap they can or cannot use.
The bill will ban companies from using micro plastic balls in soap that water plants cannot process out, therefore the balls are getting into natural waterways/oceans.
It isn't about people using soap. It is about stopping corporations from using a hazardous alternative because it is cheaper than natural exfoliates.
It has absolutely zero to do with consumers. At all. Period.

Just like when liberal executives or legislatures pass laws that protect the environment or reduce pollution, except this time you're okay with it because it's a GOP bill. You see what she's getting at now?
It isn't a GOP bill. It's an everybody bill for different reasons. The little plastic beads clog up the waste treatment facilities and has been found in the bodies of fish. Complaints against this are just partisan bitching.

You expect anything different from a partisan bitch?

Before the Bill passed, what was the problem, in general?

It was a problem of ecological damage(by humans) versus the availability of a consumer good.

The solution was to outlaw the consumer good to reduce the ecological damage.

So it does have something to do with consumers of that good. Their choice of washes containing microbeads is taken away--in order to aid and protect the ecology.

That is not free market capitalism, that is some form of green socialism!! A Central government enforced green socialist policy that you are justifying!

So, comrade, how do you feel about Bernie Sanders? o_O

That is loony.
By your argument we should still be using leaded gas. Afterall, if it wasn't for the government (VERY begrudgingly) finally outlawing leaded gas - we would still be using it. And by now, irreversible damage to the oceans would be at critical levels. Dwarfing any perceived global warming doomsday predictions.
I was alive in the 1970's. After decades of lawless corporate and industry pollution - America was an extremely polluted country. By the 1980's - it was no longer advisable to consume fish from a staggering percentage of America's waterways.
Thank God people woke up.

Again, I applaud the bill. It's a great idea.

What is more interesting to me in this forum is the politics of it being perfectly okay because Walker signed it. Had this been a democratic governor, mayor or, god forbid, federal bill....you'd have 30 threads and calls for impeachment.

Think again.
I am pro-America. Therefore I am anti-corporatism.
For the past 30 years I have watched this country being taken over by big money with BOTH PARTIES in wilful collusion. It is indeed rare for such a bill pass that goes against the corporatocracy. I applaud every single one of them.
And BTW - Obama is the worst corporatist President we have ever had. PERIOD.

If Walker were a democrat, and signed the exact same measure, most, if not all, conservatives would be whining that government is telling everyone what kind of soap they can or cannot use.

Soooo
You are a green socialist too!o_O

See, I told you. There are lots of people that side with that Damn socialists Bernie Sanders! He does have a real chance of winning the White House!!

"Its an Everybody bill" --You sound just like Sanders. He is always saying and pushing "Its an Everybody Bill" down our throats!!

It is not an "everybody bill" since the corporations that make the product will suffer lose in profits. That, in turn, loses jobs. So the people who work those jobs are also hurt!!

Isn't profits and jobs more important than the claims of some batsh%% crazy lib? If you are pro-capitalism, then of course it is! Tell Scott Walker to get out of the way of business owners and let the markets decide!

Man can not detrimentally effect his environment!! Those are the lies of leftist in their attempt to dictate and control corporations through fear tactics. Hence, those microbeads are not clogging the waterways. They are not damaging the environment! It is a leftist lie!!

Scott Walker fell for it
and YOU fell for it!!
Wake up, right wingers. You have fallen for leftist propaganda!!

Or have you?o_O

Every single rabid RW candidate is in favor of total control of Americans. They're very much nanny-staters, right down to what you do in the privacy of your bedroom.

They just don't like having that fact pointed out to them.

If a Dem did this, the RWs here would be screeching in protest.

Hypocrites.

Humans are the only animal who shits in his own nest.

You're usually in favor of anything that harms the environment. Its true - if done by a Dem, you would screech the loudest.

When you change course that fast you can get whiplash...just so you know.

Think again...again.
Go ahead and peruse my recent post.
You will find I am the loudest anti-corporatist on this forum.
Left/Right politics is nothing more than smoke screen that allows BOTH parties to enrich themselves while destroying the middle class.
Did you know that after Reagan left office "the 1%" owned about 24% of the entire wealth in this country? But -- did you know that by the time Obama leaves office the "1%" will own close to 45% of the total wealth?
Did you know that since 2009, the top 7% have enjoyed a record 33% earnings income?
But the remaining 93% of WORKING Americans have suffered a 5% decline in earnings?
All the while we have record welfare?
Just who has benefitted from this "recovery" candy??? Who?

Where did is say that the personal care products were being banned and that people could not use them?

And fracking pollutes groundwater. Hilltop mining pollutes streams. Coal-fired power plants pollute the air and rivers. Why aren't you against these types of polluters?

It is a fact that conservatives, for the most part, are hostile to environmental regulatory measures. In order for conservatives to be consistent with regard to their rhetoric used to justify such hostility and opposition, they must condemn all regulatory policy – including measures signed into law by republican governors running for president.
