I see this as not about consent, but about the pedophiles wanting protected status. Because they are sexual deviants, it will help them to feel as if they are doing no wrong, help them to feel normal because it is how they were born, which is of course non sense.

The problem with your ideal is this: You are making a sweeping comparison between a homosexual desire and a pedophile's desire of wanting to have sex with prepubescent children.

You fail to acknowledge that homosexuals are consenting legal adults who share the responsibility in society of paying taxes, voting, driving, working and other adult things and prepubescent children do not and are not capable of making adult choices in regards to sex so they are a protected class as they should be.

No where does will ANY law say that a person with homosexual preferences is now allowed to force heterosexuals to be homosexuals. You see adults must consent.

Children do not work, pay taxes, votes. They are not adults and not responsible.
Pedophiles will not be allowed to just go molest children because it is their desire.

And, pedophiles already enjoy freedom and protection to molest kids. Its called the Catholic church.

Homosexuality and pedophilia have nothing in common except they are both perversions, both abnormalities. The same arguments legalizing homosexual behavior can be and will be used to legalize pedophilia. Race has nothing to do with behavior, but gays have no trouble equating their circumstances with interracial marriage.

Most Americans agree that homosexuality or homosexual marriage by consenting adults is a given right not perversion.

Almost all Americans agree that children and particularly pre-pubescent children cannot consent to sex.

Your opinion is not indicative of anyone else's reality.

LAUSD did. They put the pedophiles they found in one school to minimize complaints. Miramonte Elementary School was closed for a year while they got the pedophiles out and disinfected the place.

If you think that the rights of the child won't include sex, the UN is already working on that to legalize prostitution by children as young as 10. A global lowering of the age of consent to ten years old including legalization of prostitution and drug use by children as young as 10.

Tyler Ament of Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute (C-FAM) told CNSNews.com, "The statement doesn't mention the age specifically, but the UN defines youth as those between the ages of 10-24."

Regarding confidentiality for youth, Ament pointed out that 10-year-olds naturally rely on their parents for most things.

“This has been the way to do things since humans have been around,” Ament said. “If non-governmental sex rights groups can convince a 10-year-old that their parents don't really have what it takes to care for their ‘sexual health needs’ and then have the law to back up their manipulation, the negative consequences are many.”

Y-Peer is not the U.N. just like a pedophiles united group petitioning the senate to legislate an agenda does not represent the Senate.

Just like homosexual is not the same as pedophile.
