Remember the CEO who raised salaries to $70k?

His best employees quit and his clients bolted, shocker. /sarcasm

Those two disgruntled employees can easily be replaced.

Sure they can, just like you can replace Tom Brady with the water boy and the patriots will be fine.

I don't know anything about Tom Brady. I don't follow sports. However, I do know that it will not be difficult to replace a web developer or a financial planner. I'm sure that's the least of Price's worries. His bigger problem is the lawsuit.
I don't know much about those trades, but in manufacturing It is really hard to replace talented people, sure you get a warm body but in most cases their resume is full of it.

Apparently Price's web site is doing okay without that one web developer.

You should earn according to your abilities......not because of some politically-correct fake fairness doctrine. The point of all of this is if everyone is paid the same it totally removes incentive to produce. Thus productivity goes in the toilet.

Seems simple doesn't it?
But that is not the liberal way. Liberalism 101 is trying to have your cake and eat it too.
They lower, and even remove educational standards for minorities, yet pretend this has no negative effect.
They then enroll in college because liberal policies provides them no strings attached free education/free housing and even free spending money. But blacks in America have the lowest graduation rates in modern society the world over - but want to lower standards in colleges as well and give even more education giveaways.
Then after they fail in college, and therefore cannot compete with everyone else - liberals want to again give them no-strings-attached free money/food/housing...yet STILL after all this - STILL blame Whites for Black failure.

It is so simple...but to get a liberal to see how their policies are killing minorities in America is to both get them to admit they are wrong - and stop believing you can have your cake and eat it too.
And that is never going to happen.
So it continues to erode.

Just look at that CEO now having to scramble to make ends meet like minimum wage workers do every day.

I'll say it again: That he scrambling "to make ends meet like minimum wage workers do every day" on a $70k salary is proof positive that he sucks at planning and at being responsible.

---
He planned to sacrifice his own wealth for the benefit of his company's employees.
His company is expanding. Since his salary restructuring announcement in April, his company has been gaining 350 new customers monthly and he has hired a dozen more workers.

That's not sucking in my book.

These anti-American nutters want the company to fail.
They probably secretly do..

Just like the nut jobs on the extreme left who want company's to go out of business who don't pay "a fair wage" what ever that means .

Both idiots ...

Just like everything else, companies should plan on wage increases from time to time. I have no sympathy for companies that rake in billions of dollars in profit, yet can't pay their help above minimum wage.
This is something I don't like debating people like you because you are being dishonest, company's don't pay minimum wage I live in a red state and my company pays it's lowest operator $13 bucks an hour all manufacturing company's around here pay way above the states minimum wage of $7.25

You know only like 3% of Americans make minimum wage.

I still don't get the liberal mind set, that wants to pay more for service and goods by raising the MW while their wages remain stagnate.

Calling what happens on USMB "politics" is like saying that Kool-Aid is fruit juice.
I see I am in your sig line. That means I own you. Sucker.
I do agree with this statement.
For the rest: when he announced this all the leftards were cheering what a great guy he was and how anyone who didnt do that was stingy. Now we see why CEOs dont routinely do this: Everyone in the company suffers.
Looks like socialism has continued its 100% fail rate.

What specifically did he suffer? He's still in business and doing well, did something bad happen?

You Idiot, what percent of workers earn less than maxing out on government benefits? Likely 1/3rd of workers. You are clueless about economics & prices. Prices have never risen because minimum wage went up. Prices rise from government borrowing to support underpaid workers thus expanding the money supply. The CEO get's rich by underpaying workers. The CEO in this company is hurting, not workers or customers, now that MW went up to $70K.

You fail at math and well, thinking in general. CEO's don't get rich by underpaying workers that's utter nonsense.

In 2012 it was 4.7 % of American workers making minimum wage. If we raised the minimum wage by 2016 this would raise the wages for around 17 million workers.

Raising the minimum wage would boost our economy.

I wouldn't brag about a manufacturing job paying $13 an hour, when people used to be able to support their entire family with a manufacturing job.

Riiiiiight /eyeroll

Okay, you might not be capable of hiring two new employees, but I'm sure Price already has that taken care of.

Control your liberal ignorance fool, it really sucks to lose your best employees. Only some dumbass liberal would believe otherwise.

So the only thing this guy "suffered" was the opinions and jealousy of others? Thats pretty tame compared to the doom and gloom other people predicted

He planned to sacrifice his own wealth for the benefit of his company's employees.

And what does that have to do with the fact that he apparently has a real hard time trying to make ends meet on a $70k a year budget?

The lesson here is don't raise your employees salary or some people will have feelings. Valuable lesson there

"real hard time" is relative ... to what he had before. Apparently, he's coping with his own salary cut and taking it as a challenge.

Dan Price, who estimated his current net worth, including his home, at about $3 million, said he had offered to “give up everything I have personally and everything I’ll have for years to come.”
The pay cut won’t affect Price's lifestyle much. He has saved a lot of the money he has earned since starting Gravity in 2004.

And he is modest & frugal ...
He said he has no plans to replace his 12-year-old Audi, which has clocked more than 140,000 miles.

Name one company doing that. Name one company that rakes in "billions of dollars in profit, yet can't pay their help above minimum wage."

Good luck.
