Hunter Palin, son of Sarah Palin was kicked out of the United States Navy for a third offense of cocaine use.

Hunter was not qualified to join the navy, but Palin used connections to get the Navy to waive age restrictions to allow the 43 year old Hunter a cushy commission as a "public affairs officer." Former VP candidate Palin used her clout to pressure the Navy into giving Hunter the reserve commission and pay that goes with it.

Hunter encountered trouble right away as he tested positive for Cocaine during induction. Palin used political connections to secure an extraordinary disposition for Hunter to keep him from dishonorable discharge.

Hunter failed a second drug test again last year, but again Palin intervened and the Navy let it slide. Hunter recently tested positive for a third time and the Navy finally took action - although not the criminal charges that would be brought against anyone who didn't have the Palin name.

Hunter Palin was dishonorably discharged.
