LBJ had escalated the vietnam war which resulted in over 59,000 of our men killed over in that meat grinder. His decisions were wrong but at least maybe he had a shred of decency for not accepting.

The only way I would start giving him respect is that he admits that he is a liar and has lied from day one.
and admits his policy are failure and says he will change what he has done I could/ might support him
