obama in his own words how he views the Constitution

Obama taught constitutional law at the University level for 10 years. I'm sure he understands it better than any right winger in the nation.
Understanding it and supporting it are two different things. He is a socialist so he doesn't support it.

Well of course he doesn't like the Constitution, it gets in the way of complete government control. That's why progressives haven't liked it for the last 100 yrs. they can't do what they want and it's also why it has taken them 100 yrs to try. It isn't working, so now they will try to get rid of it.
(It's too old and don't fit with the times)
(It was written by a bunch of old white men, who wore wigs and owned slaves) and so on and so forth.

Then why is it that Conservatives have a hit list of parts of the Constitution they want to change?

Almost 222 years I would say it's pretty close to perfect. It's protected all of your rights that you have.be thankful.

You a big supporter of Birthright citizenship?

How about a federally funded Post Office?

Census?

No I'm a big supporter of Americans protecting their birth rights as American citizens.

How about a federally funded Post Office?
The post office isn't doing so good they're going broke.. How about that Federal Express?

Do you know what birthright citizenship means?

really?
Sweet: Obama did NOT "hold the title" of a University of Chicago law school professor. - Lynn Sweet

Did you read your own link?

Obama held the title of "Senior Lecturer", not "Professor". But "Senior Lecturers" are considered "Professors" by U of C, just not tenure-track.

And, as a "Senior Lecturer", he still taught Constitutional Law for 10 years.

Bigredneck...do you find any flaws in the original constitution?

It's better than any governing document that any other country has. Which is why we are a more perfect union.

I am better than any poster that has ever been on USMB. Yet I still have flaws.

What are the flaws in the original constitution that makes you hesitate from calling it the BEST governing document in the world making us the MOST perfect union?

Oh my! It's Fall 2009 again!

Back to the Delorean!

I guess there's no news because of the crisis in Egypt. I think tomorrow things will be different, though, since Obama concentrated on the job situation today and already the right wing noise machine is beginning to bitch that he should be devoting his FULL attention to Egypt. Uh huh. And if he did, they'd be screeching that he should be devoting his FULL attention to jobs. Expect it.

The ground is crumbling beneath the Obama-haters, and they, well, hate it.

yes I read it, I read part time, leave of absence, for 4 of those years he was working at a law firm as well.

What a non-answer. Yes or no. It's quite simple really.

The U.S. Costitution does not get any better. Name one existing governing document that is better than the U.S. Constitution?

You're avoiding the question and you know it. Are there any flaws in the original U.S Constitution? Yes or no.

A part-time teacher is still a teacher.

I have a friend who had Obama as a "Professor" at U of C. He said he was a complete ass.

But he was still a teacher...
