Just ask the family of a woman who has just been murdered on the Los Angeles subway. One of the city officials responsible for regulating the subway says she herself is too afraid to take the subway.

The suspect is well-known. He has harassed many passengers at the same subway station. Of course, he has been immediately released to wander around the city. Can't put him away. That would be "racist."
