Stalin had brutal gulags that doesn't mean that the same conditions exist in Russia today. Germany had concentration camps. They are not a reflection on Angela Merkel. The granddaddy of prison camps is the US. in the Andersonville prison 45,000 men died in 14 months.

That's why historical wrongs cannot be used to justify present day acts. That ball can bounce around the world forever.

North Korea's prison camps stand on their own. Kim Jong Un for all his cruelties is not a bird of Stalin's feather. Stalin is long dead.

Why did the entire Muslim community in France set France on fire over the death of one Muslim thief who hid in an electrical grid after a robbery and was eluding the police? He got electrocuted but that didn't stop the Muslims from setting France on fire - cars, buses, houses, mayhem in the streets. Where was the connection in that scenario?

Note to you - how do you know the US punished anyone? Did Obama make an announcement taking responsibility for recent Internet shutdown in NK? No? Then answer this one..

Why should the American people be punished with threats of death from a terror attack waged by North Korean operatives on movie theatres because one film director decided to make a comedy called the Interview and Kim Jong Un lacks a sense of humor? Why must an entire country be punished on behalf of a foreign corporation? Where's the connection?

North Korea is a loose cannon. And as far as the western world knowing what is better for everybody, there is a bit of arrogance there. However, given what we see in the Middle East and places like North Korea, that arrogance is warrented.

I think the best thing that could happen for the people of North Korea would be for Kim Jong Un to receive Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and tell his people, today you are free to go wherever you would like to go. I repent of my terrible treatment of you and for claiming to be a god when I am in reality a sinner who has just been saved by faith in Jesus Christ. Romans 10:9,10. How great is the mercy and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. Let my fellow countrymen call upon Him today. 2 Chronicles 7:14 would be the best possible answer for North Korea. We must pray for the nations - including North Korea.

The North Korean leader could repent and be saved. Putin could repent and be saved. Whosoever calls upon the name of the LORD shall be saved. That is the best answer for both men. While there is breath in them there is hope they will yet do it.
