On a hill
Netflix makes the best documentaries...period.
This one goes behind the scene in how porn "recruiters" get to girls just out of high school and within days they are getting porn blitzed...100's....yes 100's of films in a few months time.
At the end of all of those films...they might walk away with a few thousand dollars.

I love this line... "in our society it is against the law to pay money for sex...but take a camera and film it - and somehow that makes it legal".

Right here in America - our young girls are taken advantage of like you wouldn't believe.

Sex is always paid for, one way or another. And making porn is like making sausage, don't ask or it ruins the product.

Porn, BTW, is a good argument for why the arbitrary line making you an adult at 18 is total nonsense when science knows you have an adult female at 27, and an adult male at 29...

Well that preview is enough to depress the shit out of you. Bin Laden wasn't kidding when he said we treated our girls like whores and just look, they are treating themselves that way.

Here's a good question though, who in the hell is still paying for porn?

It is unbelievable. I know they are 18...but this should clearly be illegal.
The girls are promised glamour...tons of money...and party party party.
Sure...they are paid very well on the surface, but they are required to pay for photo shoots...the recruiter...many times the MALE ACTOR!!...this fee and that fee...and in the end they are paid waaay below minimum wage.
The main girl, by the time she paid most of her money to the people supposed to be paying her...she made about $5 a f*ck.
Incredible story. Hard to believe this is real.

I saw one a while back, sounds like the same movie. Their careers last about 2 years on average. Some die from AIDS, or get pregnant. Or STDs. I don't feel sorry for them though, they do it to themselves.

Then you haven't seen this one. The average career is measured in weeks not years. Some realize early that it is a major ripoff that progressively gets worse.
Some of the girls are literally raped on film. Slapped, screamed at and violently "gagged" until they vomit and gagged some more. The girls are dropped off...alone in a room with 4-5 large aggressive men who literally rape her on film.
It is extremely disturbing that this is legal.

Rape is never legal. But if a gal is going to a place knowing there's sex involved she taking a huge risk. Some of Netflix's films are utter bullshit too, like the making a murder one.

Don't watch porn
Don't support the industry

The only porn I ever enjoyed (years and years ago) was all female.
A good sex scene in a R Rated movie really gets me turned on too (but male w/ female there...)

I can still get turned on today seeing a well done male/female seduction scene... it's the sexual tension and the eventual giving in that turns me on most. Not body parts.

Some people make shitty choices. Especially when looking to make a fast buck. If they are underage, put the people who paid them in jail. If they are adults, they can deal with the consequences of their actions.

One of the things I find most disturbing is that some of the same people who claim to be feminists and are all about empowering women are the ones crying about these women being exploited and not being capable of making decisions in their life.

women should do what they want.
18 and older, you get to choose.
if you emancipate yourself younger, then so be it

it's the parents job to prepare them for the world and all that it has to offer (good and bad)

You touch on several things...all of the girls are 18. And therefore what they do is currently legal. The porn industry is essentially an unregulated industry. Should it be?
As the film shows...
Man #1 - calls a pimp, gets a young girl into his home or a cheap hotel, gives her a few hundred dollars and has sex. Illegal. This is prostitution.
Man #2 - calls a "porn pimp", gets a young girl into his home/hotel, gives her a few hundred dollars and has sex...but...turns a camera on first - legal. This is pornography.
As the film shows...there are men who literally do this. They call the porn guys...have sex..pay the girl...but also give her a thumb drive so the porn guy can put it on his website.
This is why you see a lot of "POV" porn (point of view). The guy paying for the sex has a hand held and hands the recording over.
How is it possible this is legal?

porn is a major industry that is how it is legal....porn is a major industry in california....porn drives the internet.....i have seen hot girls wanted and life after porn....both are sad...right now hiv is sweeping thru the porn community...

IMO - porn should be regulated. There should be a licensing process that accomplishes several things:
1) Wages for the girls are brought into the light of legality...taxes collected, the girls must earn minimum wage at least - and remove the "private contractor" status wherein the girl may be paid $600 for a session that only last 30 minutes...but pays most of it back in fees and wages for the crew...and literally ends up with little to nothing.
2) Raise the minimum age to 21.
3) Transportation is free both ways. In other words if the recruiter pays for the flight across country - he/she must also pay for a return trip if the girls wants out. Many girls get trapped into the industry this way.
4) ALL members who are employed by, and ALL "actors" must be licensed, taxes collected and recorded.

Porn is sorta like the confidence game and it's really weird how people's psychology works with both.

A predator finds a victim. Takes clear advantage of that victim. and then people proceed to blame the victim for falling into the predators trap. If you've ever read stories on con men, they are able to operate solely because the people who consider themselves "smarter" thinks that it can't happen to them. But if it DOES happen to them they either say what happened to them was different OR they say nothing from embarrassment.

True.
Look, scientifically it is without argument that an 18 year old literally does not have the ability with their undeveloped brain to make critical decisions; especially the ability to project future consequences - they simply do not yet posses the ability.
And a girl straight out of high school, many in troubled homes...desperately wanting to "get out" and "on their own" merely switch dependency from a not so great parent(s) to predatory monsters.
This has got to stop.

These girls got on an airplane to go to Miami to try to make thousands of dollars based on the word of a stranger.

First of all, that is simply stupid.

Second of all, falling for some cheesy get-rich-quick scheme is not someone else's fault.

Third of all, if the predator does something illegal or lies to them, then burn him. If not, it is on the girls.
