Where are you getting that from; you have a reference? One has to be careful when you read ancient text. Dark or black was considered a negative by ancients, because it was the color of the night. The fear of the night was common. To say someone was black was a way to denigrate them as untrustworthy. The Phoenicians we’re competitors of the Greeks, but they were not much darker than the Greeks were.

And this people of color thing, it’s just a bunch of crap it has absolutely no basis in science whatsoever; it is a 100% social construct. It means nothing; many of the people under this system that are considered people of color are in fact Caucasoid and are closely related to Europeans.

A land on the Mediterranean coasts located south of today’s Turkey. And people in North Africa were not black during Hannibal’s time and had not been so for a long time.

At one time all of Africa from the very top to the very bottom was occupied by negroid peoples. The people of North Africa were in fact brown, but they still were A Negroid people like the pygmies. Then things changed; the Sahara dried up and became a desert and the herd animals migrated south and most of the people went with them leaving only a small fringe of people along the coast. Caucasians either migrated or invaded depending on your perspective from the Middle East and displaced the Negroid people of Egypt and North Africa. By Hannibal’s time there were no black people in North Africa nor any way for them to get there.

To imply that Hannibal was black is an insult to the people of North Africa; it says that they are invaders and colonizers, and the land does not belong to them but to the black people of Sub-Saharan Africa.

Some of Hannibal's ancestors were Phoenician, some from northern Africa. He was certainly of color and to mply he was not insults him and the people of North Africa. According to an article in ThoughtCo, Hannibal may have been darker-skinned than a Roman, but he would not have been described as Ethiopian 1.
