The victim's families are totally without fault in this matter; they are blameless that they are associated with 9/11. Notifying the latter would be totally acceptable if not any less crass.

I would prefer to see their full statements in context. I trust that their integrity is intact. But please I am not nor have I ever been a Marine. US Army Dogface Soldier here. Having integrity does not mean that you cannot be wrong. I would love to discuss the issue with these Fine Officers.
