You apparently underestimate the crookedness of the Dimocrat party. We've already seen cases around the country where Dimocrats have pushed for illegals to be able to vote in local elections. So far, we've been able to fend them off, but sooner or later, it will happen, and then over time they'll be pushing it by state, and then nationally.
There is no other reason why they would want these people here, and yet they work tirelessly to motivate these people to flood in here.

Meanwhile, the immigration issues go unresolved. While in the past, both parties got the blame for that, lately, it's been Republicans who are continually stonewalling.
