I never thought this would happen. I voted for Trump in the primaries, and for him again in the general election. I love his presidency and his accomplishments, but all of a sudden now the bottom is starting to fall out of the Republican party.

Mitch McConnell is saying that we now need to cut Social Security and Medicare. Whaaat ? Is this man crazy ? He's not alone. He's got Paul Ryan on board with him. Hopefully, if these nutjobs go through with this in the Congress, Trump will shut it all down with a presidential veto.

The Newsweek article I saw on this said that Democrats are ready to pounce on Republicans who put this forward, They're not the only ones. A lot of us Republicans will pounce on them too, as I'm doing right now.

1. If you want to kill the Republican party, this is the sure way of doing it. Older people vote in droves, and will simply not tolerate cuts in our already too small incomes. This would be the greatest gift Republicans could ever give to Democrats.

2. Older people have worked their butts off for 50 or 60 years, paying into this. Not right to cut it back from them.

3. If you want to cut entitlements, how about getting rid of millions of illegal foreigner leeches, who are sucking up waay too much of the federal budget ? Jail politicians passing sanctuary city laws. Abolish birthright citizenship for kids of foreigners.

4. Cut govt waste, but Social Security and Medicare are not waste.

I walked away from the Republicans many years ago and I don’t regret it. Everyone needs to walk away from the two big money parties, they are selling us out. In many elections I will vote third party out of dissatisfaction for The mainstream parties. They are nothing but thieves.

Neither bought and paid for political party is worth a shit. Both parties have been complicit in draining S.S and Medicare. The leftists were very generous in giving benefits to illegals that dropped anchor babies and giving them medical care that was charged back to us. Repubs act like S.S and Medicare is an entitlement program when it has been the people that have had 7.5 percent of their pay taken that their employer has to match. So, 15 percent of what you have made over a lifetime was to be doled out to you in small increments in hopes that you croak before you get even a fraction of what you have put in over 40 plus years of toiling for paper scrip/ notes of debt we refer to as the "legal tender" that loses purchasing power each and every year. What also totally pisses me off is how the left believes that income taxes (and the higher the better) would make this problem disappear but they don't have the slightest clue about how the foreign owned Fed bank works or how the Promissory note scam works or "fractional reserve banking". They don't know that if every Federal reserve note is borrowed into existence, how in the hell can the "debt" ever be paid off since the "interest" due will always exceed the amount of paper scrip notes in existence. You can't pull 11 marbles out of a bag that only contains 10. Their "fix" is to confiscate these debt notes from those that work for it and then after taking their cut, they toss crumbs and then pat themselves on the backs and claim what humanitarians they are while living in million dollar homes,a fat bank account from taking lobbyist money, kickbacks and insider trading info on Wall Street.

Ryan, McConnell and the rest of the neocons are establishment pricks and they get along just fine with the fabian socialist leftists because at the end of the day, they are working for the banking oligarchs.
