A quick keyword search for Honduran foods says meat is a primary ingredient in most dishes. And they are partial to fast food. Guats also like meat - in soups and stews. But meat for 3,000 people every day is expensive. And if the Guats and Hons could afford meat every day back home, why are they really migrating?

I am sure Mexico has a rat problem. Nothing wrong with eating a little rat with those tortillas and beans:
Deutsche Welle’s Spanish language channel, DW Español, traveled to Tijuana in order to interview some of the migrants living in the camps. A reporter asked one of the migrants how the living conditions were in the camp. The woman complained about the food she had been given in the camp, calling it food for “pigs” and saying she would “die of hunger” if she did not eat it.
