It's still a private Christian school.

The issue isn't whether it's a private Christian school, and entitled by law to enclude anyone they consider "unsuitable", but whether the wife of the Vice-President of the United States should be working for an institution which displays such gross disrespect for the way Jesus lived his life, and the principles of equality and fairness to all Americans as enshrined in the Constitution.

Mrs. Pence is and should be held to a higher standard, than your run of the mill right wing bigot.

The flip side of your argument is she is being held to a higher standard. It just so happens that it isn't a standard that you identify with. That is ok. The best that can be achieved is that it is a private Christian school.

Agreed but one step further. It seems a bit more calculated. There can be no detailed resolution until or unless there is a change in parties during the next election. Should Mrs. Pence up and say she will not work there that would mean the goal has been achieved. It is far better to keep it shifting until the election cycle based on emotions. It's definitely not an attempt to change hearts and minds. Dragon appears to be a part of that group that decides who is employed and for what based on 1) political party and 2) faux rage. Mrs. Pence can teach at that school and it is not a constitutional issue. It's a private Christian school.

I doubt Dragon has thought far enough to try to get her drawers in an uproar on a Constitutional basis. I think she's just working on the standard leftist default mindset of "My beliefs are morality! It's wrong for anyone to not agree with them because they're SO RIGHT!"

Why this is such a bombshell is anyone's guess. To quote Matt Walsh, the media seems to "discover" that the Pences are Christians every two months or so, and they're shocked and outraged every time.

I'm not entirely certain what the problem is here. Obviously, given that they all basically used the same headline, they're up in arms yet again about Christians stubbornly insisting that "alternative" sexual behavior is not okay, in direct contradiction to the CLEAR dictates of the left. I'm just not sure if they're demanding that Christian private schools should endorse behavior they don't agree with, or if they're demanding that the Vice President's wife should have to get a job in a place she doesn't agree with.

^ if you were honest you would not include the occurrences in Europe as they stretch back throughout their recorded history of various iterations though the use of religion was the primary means to accomplish their ends.

I can't speak for anyone else, but if I'm talking about what Christianity teaches, I'm talking about standard, bedrock doctrine that is in the Bible and has been accepted across denominations for centuries, not about internal doctrinal differences that mean nothing to anyone outside the Church (except as a point of glee because "Christians are divided!").

For example, I can state that Christianity teaches the doctrinal validity of baptism, and that requires no specific breakdown because, to my knowledge, there are no Christian denominations which do not include baptism. I would, however, need to become more specific if I were talking about HOW baptism should be performed.

I can't speak for anyone else, but if I'm talking about what Christianity teaches, I'm talking about standard, bedrock doctrine that is in the Bible and has been accepted across denominations for centuries, not about internal doctrinal differences that mean nothing to anyone outside the Church (except as a point of glee because "Christians are divided!").

For example, I can state that Christianity teaches the doctrinal validity of baptism, and that requires no specific breakdown because, to my knowledge, there are no Christian denominations which do not include baptism. I would, however, need to become more specific if I were talking about HOW baptism should be performed.

Well obviously being a Christian, I would be more supportive of a Christian in office. That's basic logic 101.

Would I have been kind to her about it? I don't know if I would have cared, unless she did something to instigate me caring. I have no idea what that would have been.... but in general when non-elected people, start acting like they were elected... that usually causes a negative result.

When Hillary was first lady in the 90s, she started prancing around and acting like she was important, and we didn't like that then.
When Michelle did the same, we didn't like that.

One of the reasons I like Melania is because she's kind of just doing her thing, without trying to be some sort of official. Just like Barbra and Laura.

So if Michelle acted the same, and was teaching art, I can't see any reason I would care.

That would question Obama on being Muslim obviously. And if he actually ran as a Muslim, then I would question it either. Of course he would never have been elected, but that isn't what you asked is it?

Please specify that the "Christians" discussed on this thread are only some sects of the Christian faith. There are other Christians who do not hold these views. Christians have split. Christians have a history of splitting.
