Isn't this the stuff that got Patrick Kennedy in trouble?
In a presidential race marked by references to preparedness in the face of the 3 a.m. call, the revelation that presumptive Republican nominee Sen. John McCain has taken the sleeping pill Ambien during his travels raises concerns that the rare side effects of the medication could impair his judgment.

.....Maybe he needs it to counteract the viagra.
More power to that sly devil.

McCain is on 5 different medications and his medical record for the last 8 years is 1,200 pages long.

No wonder he can't remember how many houses he owns!

Ambien can have some side effects that could be a cause of concern for someone like McCain.

Some people using this medicine have engaged in activity such as driving, eating, or making phone calls and later having no memory of the activity

If they wake him up from a drug induced nap after taking Ambian because of an emergency his judgement could be impaired.

Ambien can cause side effects that may impair your thinking or reactions. You may still feel sleepy the morning after taking the medication. Until you know how this medication will affect you during waking hours, be careful if you drive, operate machinery, pilot an airplane, or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert.

We need a POTUS awake and alert.

The sedative effects of Ambien may be stronger in older adults. Accidental falls are common in elderly patients who take sedatives. Use caution to avoid falling or accidental injury while you are taking Ambien.
He's definately an older adult.

McCain seems to be showing signs of drug dependence.:D

Yeah, and Biden has had surgery to correct two brain aneurysms, one of which began leaking. Plus, hair plugs.

And Obama has had a nose job ala Michael Jackson

So freaken what.

Good luck finding a politician past the age of 30 who isn't taking something.

Good luck finding a human who isn't.

And I imagine McCAin has trouble sleeping.

Question: John how many houses do you own?
John: err, ah err, ah
Q: how many?
J: err ah ah err
Q: do you know?
J: ah err err ah
Q: Are you sure you are qualified to be president?
J: no, err, ah err, yea...did I tell you about...

The Conservative Nanny State

A vote for John McCain is a vote against the fundamental principle of America, the right of the individual to lead their life privately without the government interfering.

I guess a sleep-walking, addled and deluded POTUS suffering from hallucinations is nothing to be concerned about. Of course, it was a scandal when Patrick Kennedy was hopped up on Ambien, but he's a Dem of course, and only a senator, not someone answering a call at 3 AM.

btw, I have a few great aunts and uncles that are older than McCain and they think he's too old to be POTUS.
