Liberal Intellectual Elite ("LIE")

Whats about 1945? Who mentioned 1945?....

"The atomic bomb on a beaten population and concentration camps in American"

YOU wrote that. Maybe you don't know it, but the attacks on japan with nuclear weapons occured in 1945.

Was KKK Byrd not talking about "*******" on TV as late as 2001?

no...actually, he was talking about "white *******" which is an idiomatic expression for the sort of redneck trailer trash that I am sure you identify with

When did he filibuster the civil rights proposals...???

nearly a half a century ago.

Lie about his association with the KKK? WTF are you talking about?
Was he not a Grand Cyclops or Giant Puma or whatever the fuck you call his KKK ranking....

no. he was not the grand cyclops he was the kleagle for his local chapter for less than a year. the grand cyclops is a big deal, the kleagle is not such a big deal. It would be similar to you saying that the member of the local school board was actually the president of the united states.

And I know you believe "it takes a village"....the collective....group thinking (same as mob rule to me)
I believe in "individuals"....individual rights....individual responsibility....individual accountability....but I will concede that group and global actions are sometimes necessary and unavoidable....

your opinion of neighborhoods and villages and communities working together is of ZERO importance to me. And your tapdancing around the fact that the african american population in our country has figured out which party is racist and which party is not is pretty funny.

It did not change overnight. Democratic attitudes toward race didn't even begin to start changing until the HHH speech at the '48 convention. It was a long and hard climb oput of racism, but blacks in America have figured out that we have done the work and that we now deserve their support, over the party of Lincoln, which, along time ago, freed the slaves, but recently has employed the southern strategy to minimize the effectiveness of black votes.

and you need to go back to night school and take some basic math, things that happened in 1945 are in the FIRST half of the 20th century.

YOu continue to mindlessly parrot the lie about Byrd's association with the KKK... but why should I be surprised about that.

I happen to still believe that it takes a village. sue me.

But to you he was a changed man? What bullshit.
When did he filibuster the civil rights proposals...???

Cons believe in individuals, except when it comes to corporations, and the latter take precedence.

Could be...I don't know any "cons"....I know Republicans and I know Democrats...I know Socialists and even one or two Communists....
and I know the socialists and communists vote for Democrats 100%....when even some of the Democrats support Republicans and visa versa...go figure.

well... I guess if knowing that the atomic bomb attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki occured in the first half of the 20th century makes me part of the Liberal Intellectual Elite, I will gladly accept that moniker... and if NOT knowing that means that alpha1 is part of the illiterate conservative republican trailer trash, then HE should accept that moniker as well.

I certainly didn't mention 1945, thats for sure....

Anyway,
In 1944, Byrd wrote to segregationist Mississippi Senator Theodore Bilbo:[17]
“ I shall never fight in the armed forces with a Negro by my side ... Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds. ”

This puke you adore and defend so much....did he ever actually serve in the military?.....No?.....the little fuck was a coward and Big Kahuna in the KKK....

Why am I not surprised.....Pukes do stick up for one another don't they ?

Are you an admirer of Byrds comrade Sen. Bilbo (DEMOCRAT)

Bilbo, a Democrat, twice served as governor of Mississippi (1916–20, 1928–32) and later became a U.S. Senator (1935–47). A master of filibuster and scathing rhetoric, a rough-and-tumble fighter in debate, he made his name a synonym for white supremacy. Proud of being a racist, Bilbo believed in the natural inferiority of black people, was a fiery defender of segregation, and was a member of the Ku Klux Klan.

So? All Democrats in the South were Conservatives until The Civil Rights Act. Then they became Republicans.

Cool....but,

How about not knowing that one of the HEROS of TODAYS Democrat Party (being honored as we speak) really was an Exalted Cyclops in the Ku Klux Klan.....does that make you one of the Liberal Intellectual Elite ? or just an ordinary traitor and bigot, to ignorant to acknowledge his own stupidity .....

of course not. With those attitudes, there is only one party in America where a man like Bilbo could still find a home... the same party whose senate leader said - THIS VERY CENTURY - that America would be a better place TODAY if we had elected a racist segregationist as president instead of Harry Truman. Democrats with racist ideas have realized, over time, that they are not really welcome in the democratic party, and they have either changed their way of viewing race in America, or they have become republicans.

As I said, you are the stupid one. Senator Byrd was the kleagle for his local chapter and was NEVER the Exalted Cyclops. SO I guess that makes you STILL as dumb as a sack of hair.

So? All Democrats in the South were Conservatives until The Civil Rights Act. Then they became Republicans.

those elected democrats in the south who were RACIST segregationists quit being democrats shortly after 1964. Yes. Some of them who chose to remain in public office, switched parties and became part of the GOP. Others probably left public office and went back to their sleepy little southern towns and quietly continued to hate negroes.

I certainly didn't mention 1945, thats for sure....

so... you think that you were correct when you stated that the atomic bomb attacks occurred during the second half of the 20th century? yes or no:razz:

Grow up, Commander Klink.

You;ve been pwned again and all the viewers know it....We're done.

I'VE been pwned because YOU don't know that 1945 is in the first half of the 20th century?

whatever:razz:

what color is the sky in YOUR world, you fucking coward? WHen you fuck up and make a mistake like that, most folks think MORE highly of you if you just admit it.

I am certainly glad they flushed your lazy stupid ass out of the Navy before I got to the fleet!

Robert Byrd was an Exalted Cyclops in the Ku Klux Klan. What does that mean? - By Brian Palmer - Slate Magazine

Robert Byrd, the longest-serving senator in U.S. history, died Monday at 92. While he was most famous as a master of the Senate's obscure rules, Byrd wore many hats during his lifetime, including that of Exalted Cyclops in the Ku Klux Klan.

Remembering Byrd’s Racism | FrumForum

being a Democrat means that you can promote segregation, join the KKK, vote against both black Supreme Court nominees, and use the word “******” on national television — and still be remembered as a promoter of black interests.
Highlights of Robert Byrd’s history of race relations include:
– 1942: Joins the KKK; eventually rises to the rank of “Exalted Cyclops.”

A Senator's Shame - washingtonpost.com

According to his book, Byrd wrote to Samuel Green, an Atlanta doctor and "Imperial Wizard" of the Ku Klux Klan, in late 1941 or early 1942, expressing interest in joining. Some time later, he received the letter from Baskin, the "Grand Dragon" of mid-Atlantic states, saying he would come to Byrd's home in Crab Orchard whenever Byrd had rounded up 150 recruits for the Klan.
When Baskin finally arrived, the group gathered at the home of C.M. "Clyde" Goodwin, a former local law enforcement official. When it came time to choose the "Exalted Cyclops," the top officer in the local Klan unit, Byrd won unanimously.

Job-title inflation: The Exalted Cyclops | The Economist

Byrd had plenty of other titles in the rest of his career, including Senate minority leader, Senate majority leader and president pro tempore of the United States Senate, but none had quite the resonance of Exalted Cyclops.

Exalted Cyclops definition of Exalted Cyclops in the Free Online Encyclopedia.

The original Ku Klux Klan was organized by ex-Confederate elements to oppose the Reconstruction policies of the radical Republican Congress and to maintain "white supremacy."
Sen. Robert Byrd rose to "Exaulted Cyclops" in his local chapter or the KKK....

If you don't know the difference between concentration camps and the internment camps that we had then I seriously question your knowledge of history.

and again Dave...it is not bigoted to state the facts concerning the leftward shift in public opinion that has occured over the past century. To deny it is ridiculous.

you miss the point. Of COURSE no conservatives are opposing any of those initiatives now. BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOW BECOME ABSORBED INTO THE SPHERE OF ISSUES THAT CONSERVATIVES NOW EMBRACE. Because, like it or not, America has moved left at a relatively steady rate for a hundred years.
Uh huh.
And no. I am not bigoted. I have a political ideology that shapes the directions in which I think America needs to evolve. WIlliam Joyce IS wrong. Jews don't control the world. Tell me what claims I have made that are wrong. Am I wrong to say that conservatives consistently opposed liberal progressive issues for the last 100 years? Am I wrong when I claim that issues that were once ultra-liberal are now accepted by conservatives and that conservatives now support and defend? Really... what "claim" have I made that is wrong in any way? Do tell.
When you claim that you will not let conservatives roll back the progress you've made. That's why I asked who was calling for that.

You believe conservatives want women to no longer have the vote, and to be able to pollute at will.

That's bigotry.

you are wrong. I have NEVER said that I thought conservatives want women to no longer vote or to be able to pollute at will. You need to understand that the mere fact that you DON'T believe those things is PROOF that those issues, and all the other ones I listed, that were once vehemently opposed by conservatives are now accepted. Once, those issues were considered part of the FAR LEFTagenda, and now they are considered mainstream. I realize that spacial concepts might be hard for you, but the way that something that was once on the far left side now finds itself in the middle is that the stream moved to the left. It has moved so far to the left that positions that were once considered to be totally supportable by rock-ribbed conservatives are now seen as extreme.

I am not bigoted...you're just thick as a brick.
