the president's name isn't barry, btw. do you somehow feel vindicated if you try to diminish him that way.

and yes, the former president of the harvard law review and teacher of constitutional law is far brighter than reagan. you should be able to look objectively at him rather than just feeling put out that we don't idolize your hero like you do. i can do that with even nixon who, in certain ways, was the most liberal president we've had in my lifetime. had he not been caught for being a paranoid who broke the law, he'd have gone down as one of our great presidents... starting the EPA, ending the vietnam war, opening china....

he'd never get past the rightwingnut primary voters now.

as to reagan, i can trace most of the bad things that exist in our political climate to reagan and lee atwater. that's fact. i can also trace pst of the horrible things that exist because of his funding of our proxy war against iran (training and enabling bin laden directly to his doorstep.

i also understand that reagan was likable. i never question his political skills. but calling this president barry and trying to pretend he isn't smart doesn't look very good when you're saying the man whose second term was mostly run by his wife and her astrologer is somehow "great" is kind of well.... unrealistic.
