It is? So if a homosexual man and woman decided to procreate simply for the sake of making a child, it would have a 25% chance of being homosexual, a 50% chance of being a carrier and a 25% chance of being completely hetero?

If that is the case, then two heterosexuals who don't carry the gene have no chance of having a homosexual child?

I don't think so.

I think you only show your profound ignorance of genetics. If there is a gay gene, it is probably a recessive one- it only activates if both parents pass it on. There have also been theories that homosexuality is a safety-valve in overpopulation. An expirament was done in the 1950's where mice were allowed to reproduce in a limted space, but given increasing amounts of food to support their populations.

Eventually, some of the mice turned gay and stopped reproducing.

If there are homosexuals who are tired of living like homosexuals, all they need to do is start enjoying the other sex. That's always been the most hilarious part. A straight guy will normally turn away from looking at another man's junk or if he does look, he burps a mental "yuck". A gay man, on the other hand, sees "fun".

Frankly, I see it like any other mental disorder: it's always going to be there in the background, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try to be sane anyway.

It's a cop-out to say, "If you were gay and cured, you weren't ever really gay at all". That's trying to eat your cake and have it too, because who can prove blanket statements like that wrong? It's not like we have a medical test for homosexuality.

Therapy can't stop someone from being gay, just like it can't make someone stop being straight. It is genetic, and something that is not a choice. You ask why it hasn't "bred" out of humans if homosexuals don't propagate the species? Because it's a minor defect, not an abnormality passed from parent to child. There is no ‘rationalization’ needed, it’s established case law that punitive measures against homosexuals are un-Constitutional.

I think that if gays and lesbians need to attend a "pray the straight away" camp, then heteros need to get a few straight volunteers together and force them into dates with the same sex for 1-2 mos. Make them watch gay movies. And just force them into gay and lesbian lives for the allotted time.

If someone wants to be heterosexual when they are gay, that's one thing. But more-or-less forcing a gay or lesbian into a "pray away the gay" camp, is absurd. Ask just about any gay or lesbian, and they will tell you the same thing. The feelings began somewhere between 4-14 years of age. Many of them wanted to be the opposite sex at around 5 years old. To me, that's a pretty good indication that this isn't a learned or chosen behavior.

None of us will ever agree on this. But going to get out of gay school, imo, is ridiculous.
