I was at a party with a bunch of Doctors last night....

My niece is a young doctor.

She hasn't had time for facebook or television since she entered med school, let alone schlepping around all day on a messageboard.

I continue to think geaux is full of shit.

I've been in Healthcare for 30 years, I'm not a doctor but I have two degrees in healthcare. I'm about 99% sure that GTH is nothing but a medical secretary.

Whether you believe it or not, I might be one of the PGY1s scaring the shit out of you next week.

Of course, if you aren't in the ED it won't be me since that is where I am in July.

I'll be on the floor in August.

Everything obama is doing can be undone. How long it will take and how much suffering there will be are the only questions. Greece and Japan once had their socialistic leaders. Now they are trying to undo the damage. Japan may, Greece may not.

Their conservatives are our socialists, and they're certainly not dumb enough to mess with their countries' most popular social program. Change the channel, dupe.

The Doctor Patient Medical Association has released a new survey of about 700 doctors, and the results are bleak. Scary bleak. Among other dismal figures, Doctors' Attitudes on the Future of Medicine: What’s Wrong, Who’s to Blame, and What Will Fix It found that 83% of respondents are contemplating leaving the industry if Obamacare is fully implemented, owing to its disastrous projected consequences. Indeed, they openly blame the healthcare law for their industry's woes:

KEY FINDINGS

90% say the medical system is on the WRONG TRACK
83% say they are thinking about QUITTING
61% say the system challenges their ETHICS
85% say the patient-physician relationship is in a TAILSPIN
65% say GOVERNMENT INVOLVEMENT is most to blame for current problems
72% say individual insurance mandate will NOT result in improved access care
49% say they will STOP accepting Medicaid patients
74% say they will STOP ACCEPTING Medicare patients, or leave Medicare completely
52% say they would rather treat some Medicaid/Medicare patient for FREE
57% give the AMA a FAILING GRADE representing them
1 out of 3 doctors is HESITANT to voice their opinion
2 out of 3 say they are JUST SQUEAKING BY OR IN THE RED financially
95% say private practice is losing out to CORPORATE MEDICINE
80% say DOCTORS/MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS are most likely to help solve things
70% say REDUCING GOVERNMENT would be single best fix.

OH HEY! Thanks for quoting a poll conducted by an organization that was working to actively repeal health care reform. Boy, their numbers are TOTALLY unbiased, huh?

Did you see the post about selection bias? The DPMA selected, whether intentionally or not, for he result they got.

Why didn't the elicit responses through the mail? It would have been a lot easier and much more accurate.

I suspect I know the answer.

So you're telling us the DPMA isn't just a shill for ALEC? Because it is. So it completely invalidates any tracking polls they release. Unless you're a mindless Right Wing Robot. Which you are.

CLASSICAL LIBERALISM!

How about the opinion of the American Medical Association? Is that a nonpartisan enough group for all of you? From their website:

SAN DIEGO, Ca., May 11, 2012 – This past weekend physicians from around the nation assembled in San Diego to hear Congressmen, medical group leaders, fellow citizens, fiscal policy experts and media personalities decry the state of American healthcare under the stepwise implementation of the ‘Affordable Care Act’ legislation.

More importantly, they learned how to become individual activists in the ongoing fight to protect the sacred bond and privilege between a patient and his/her physician, and how to thwart further government intrusion into the examination room.

No, idiot. That's not the AMA. That's the AMS. Good try though.

That is from America's Medical Society not the AMA. Though, many docs feel the AMA doesn't represent them (too liberal). Enrollment is dropping.

Have you noticed that this information has been posted repeatedly and the rightwingloons still pretend that the poll is legitimate.

And they wonder why no one ever believes them.

That is what I've been reading about the AMA who overwhelmingly--at least 2 to 1--supported the ACA on the strength that the ACA would not interfere with their CPT royalties even as more and more medical professionals jump ship and the AMA membership and dues revenues continues to shrink.

Ha ha ha ha.

Careful guys, when Foxy feels outnumbered (i.e. more than one Liberal call her out for her bullshit), she runs and hides. I'm on her ignore list because of her stupid fucking divorce thread.

Yeah, that is why they are actively trying to recruit medical students now. I got all sorts of mailers from them over the last four years.
