The two people I wished I met

In 1981 I saw Prince open for the Rolling Stones at the Coliseum in Los Angeles. Almost as soon as he hit the stage (in a trench coat, thigh-high boots and bikini briefs) he was getting booed and people started throwing things at him from the crowd. He walked off stage in the middle of the fourth song, vowing to not return for the second show (Mick Jagger convinced him to do it, though).

He definitely wasn't the right fit for a Stones crowd, at least not back then.

But, yeah, despite his diminutive stature, the music industry lost a giant that day...

I miss Prince a lot....I really do.....he was absolutely amazing! Best of the Best!

IMO his songs are awesome! Never heard that sound before and probably never will.
