At what point do you want God stepping forward? I mean, God told us not to have sex outside of marriage. If the mother did not have sex outside of marriage, the child wouldn't have been born, and never abused. Are you advocating that God step in and stop any type of sex that occurs outside of marriage--and is not between a man and a woman?

Why is it that we humans want to turn our backs on God's ways, but when our own actions and mores bring about the unspeakable, we feel God should take the blame?

Allow me if you will. I am not a pastor and probably will not be able to explain this at all but I have studied the Bible.

Ok. We were born dying from the very moment we were conceived in our mother's womb. With each heartbeat we have one less heartbeat to go. God condemned all of us to death already. The Bible states that it is appointed unto man once to die and then the judgement.

God is SPIRIT. His thoughts are higher than ours. We have a carnal mind. Death to us is something to be feared and dreaded. That is our human nature. Our life is but a blink of God's eye. God hates sin. He cannot abide sin. He was merciful in that he allowed us 70 or 80 years to live in a sinful world but gave us death to escape this sinful world.

Since all are subject to death anyway, what difference does it really make when we die? Is a child better off to live a life of sin or to be taken out of this sinful world early to awaken in a world without sin? I say "YES".

As in Adam, all shall die. As in Christ, all shall be made alive. Yes indeed, all will live again. We have that promise. Jesus conquered the grave for us and gave us hope.

The Book of Isaiah in Chapter 35 gives a snapshot of what the world to come will be like. Satan will be locked away and even the desert will bloom. The knowledge of God will go out unto all the world from Jerusalem. It will be a paradise in which we will all be awakened from our slumber.

All the people including those in the flood whom God killed were deeply sinful people. The Bible states their every though was sin. To Re-pent means to return to the highest level. As in Penthouse. You are a child of the Most High. That was your highest level. That is where you started out, and where you return. It isn't about behavior modification, but about heart transformation.
Have you ever done something that you wish more than anything you hadn't done? You hate that you did it and would never do it again? THAT is repentance. You have had a change of heart from when you committed the deed, and that leads to a shift in your behavior.

If you look at the Exodus, not only did the Jews not repent, they whined and sinned all the way to Sinai and God forgave them while they were sinning and provided for them without one sorry or thank you being uttered. That is our loving Father.
It is impossible for a child of God not to sin. All have sinned and fallen short, and that includes the sins a Christian will commit tomorrow. We have a sin nature. David, Moses, Paul, Samson, Peter, you, me. Samson belong to God from birth, but it was his death that awarded him a spot in God's Hall of Faith. His behavior was atrocious. Same with David, the apple of God's eye. He belonged to God from the womb, but committed adultery and murder anyway. It was David's repentant heart that God loved so.

Sin is a blood issue. We caught it from our grandparents, Adam and Eve, and the only thing that removes it is a pure blood transfusion. That was accomplished at the cross.
