Worse, the woman is always “lying”, or “misremembering”, or she’s “crazy”, or she’s got an agenda. Women are always treated as inferior in these accusations.
But generally speaking it’s because they’re speaking out against privileged or powerful men. This case is one of a privileged young man who was groomed from the earliest age for the role he is trying to assume.
And that’s troubling in and of itself. A foot soldier in the extreme conservative cause groomed for the Supreme Court.
