Texas hill country
SAN ANTONIO — Hispanic Texans have surpassed white Anglo Texans by over 230,000 people, becoming the state’s largest racial population, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

The total population of Texas reached over 29.5 million people in 2021 — a 1.8 percent increase from 2019. Statewide, 11.6 million people — or 39.4 percent — identified as white non-Hispanic in 2021, while 11.9 million — or 40.2 percent — were Hispanic.

The Census Bureau released its one-year American Community Survey this week, showing changes from 2019 to 2021. It didn’t release the survey for 2020 because of sampling problems owing to the pandemic.

In 2019, the Hispanic population in Texas was 11.5 million — or 39.7 percent. In two years, that total jumped by over 330,000 people — a 2.9 percent increase. Over the same period, the Anglo Texan population declined by about 300,000 people — a 2.5 percent drop.

The day Texas turns blue is the day we'll never see another GOP president. This is why the democrats are trying to do anything and everything to win as many latinx votes as possible. It may also be why the GOP in Texas is stridently anti-abortion; I daresay most latinx do not support abortion for religious reasons. And it does not help that so many California progressive liberals and those from other blue states are coming to Texas in big numbers.

how many illegals does Texas have??

How can Texas even survive with so many
I know, right? How has the land that makes up Texas managed to exist for so many millions of years without ever having a militarized, impenetrable border? It defies all logical explanation

Might wanna read up on Texas history some time. The term "six flags" as it relates to Texas history refers to the six different countries that have claimed that territory as their own. And, for what it's worth, "millions of years"? The US has only been in existence for around 230 years, which is fairly young when it comes to how long other nations have been around.

SIX FLAGS OVER TEXAS

The flags represent the six nations that have claimed sovereignty over Texas. They are the Kingdom of Spain, the Kingdom of France, the Republic of Mexico, the Republic of Texas, the Confederate States of America and the United States of America.

Spain

The first nation to claim sovereignty over Texas was Spain, which exercised rule from 1519 to 1685 and again from 1690 to 1821. At this time Spain was a collection of kingdoms rather than a country, the most prominent of which was the united Kingdoms of León and Castile, or simply the Crown of Castile. Hence, both versions of the flag used during this period depicted the Crown of Castile’s lion and castle emblem.

France
[Picture TBP]
In 1685, France, which already claimed Louisiana, attempted to gain westward control. Under the direction of French explorer Robert de La Salle, France founded a new colony, Fort Saint Louis, near present day Victoria, Texas. After a series of mishaps, La Salle’s followers mutinied and murdered him, and the colony was abandoned by 1690. Since there was no official French flag during this time, various designs are used in the six flags representation.

Mexico
[Picture TBP]
In 1821 shortly after gaining its independence from Spain, Mexico seized control of Texas. However, when Mexican General Santa Anna tightened his reins, abrogated the federal constitution and declared himself dictator, Texas revolted. And, in 1836 upon winning the Texas War of Independence, the Republic of Texas was established.

Republic of Texas

During the Republic of Texas’ existence from 1836 to 1845, it had two national flags. The first was the Burnet flag, which was named after the then interim President of Texas David Burnet, followed by the Lone Star flag, which came into usage on December 29, 1845, when Texas joined the United States. The Lone Star flag is still recognized today as the state flag of Texas.

United States of America
[Picture TBP]
After gaining its independence from Mexico in 1845, Texas became the 28th state to join the Union. Although the fifth and present flag is that of the United States, there was a brief period when Texas abandoned this flag for its sixth when it seceded the Union from 1861-1865.

Confederate States of America
[Picture TBP]
In 1861, 11 southern slave states including Texas declared secession from the Union and established their own government, which was known as the Confederate States of America or simply the Confederacy, triggering the Civil War. In 1865, the Confederacy was defeated and Texas gained readmission to the Union. During the war the Confederacy had three national flags.

What in the fuck are you talking about? People have been entering and leaving the land that is currently known as Texas since human first arrived in North America. It's the norm for that land.

I guess if you dump 2 million foreign Hispanics into the state you're going to change it a bit.

Course Democrats don't like it when they ship a few buses filled with them up to their cities.
They immediately call for a national emergency.
Oh......and they think anyone who doesn't think like them is a Domestic Terrorist.

The big problem is their support of gays isn't flying in the Latin community.
They're running out of time...because the quicker that new Hispanics learn English the more they get wise to the horrific destruction Democrat policies produce. Many of them have to deal with all of the new crime that all of these illegals are bringing to their neighborhoods.

You were the one bitching about Texas not having a militarized border, and was wondering how it could exist for "millions of years" (your words, not mine). I'm simply telling you that it has been a part of 6 different countries over that time, yet it still exists.

Republicans think so called illegal immigration is new and easily preventable. My comment was directed at them.

And they continue to flood the state over Biden's broken border.
It's fixing itself after 4 years of racist Trump policy. That stopped American asylum policy. Also the GOP war on drugs and MMCC have wrecked Latin America. Plus volcanoes lately... All the GOP crap about US assistance for them is PURE CRAP. They work!!!! and we need them.....Luckily the Dems are going to start helping their countries again instead of cutting aid like the orange shyttehead. Wow, intelligence and Americanism instead of hate- what a concept....

lots of hispanics are pretty conservative.....if the fucking republicans would treat them with a little respect instead of racially, they might be on your side...
They don't even have to do that, many of these people are white and/or desperately want to be white, so they're more than willing to do your white supremacist bidding for you.
