The day Texas turns blue is the day we'll never see another GOP president. This is why the democrats are trying to do anything and everything to win as many latinx votes as possible. It may also be why the GOP in Texas is stridently anti-abortion; I daresay most latinx do not support abortion for religious reasons. And it does not help that so many California progressive liberals and those from other blue states are coming to Texas in big numbers.

Texas won't turn blue. The Hispanic population is rapidly becoming Republican and conservative. South Texas is turning red, which hasn't happened in over a hundred years. The DemoKKKrats have brutalized, alienated, and antagonized Hispanics for decades, and they're not taking it any more. My county is more than one third Hispanic, and we are deep red.

Interesting place to live, to be sure. In some ways, it reminds me of being in Montana as a kid, as there are lots of people out here who hunt and fish regularly, who also know how to fix things themselves and grow their own produce. But, it also has it's quirks. Living in a small town area is kinda interesting, because you can hear all sorts of gossip standing in the checkout line at the grocery or the Dollar stores, where the customer greets the checkout person and they dish for a few minutes. MUCH different than Amarillo, or the other places I've lived outside of Montana.

My 2 favorite places in Newberry? Irene's (local pizza and sub shop that actually knows how to make a decent crust since the owner is from NYC), and the taco truck that is in the Tractor Supply parking lot on the weekend. They make tacos, mulitas and burritos as good as they do in TX, but that is the only place I'd recommend. My fiancee and her parents think it's funny/cute that I HAVE to go to the taco truck every weekend, at least once, sometimes more.

Especially since I've invented the world's best water pipe (they'd sell like hotcakes if I could advertise them here). It's smokeless (the only smoke that hits the air is what comes out of your lungs, which doesn't stink up your house), is easy to clean (can be completely cleaned in 10 min, 15 if you have to do the hoses) with dishsoap and water, and reduces the amount you smoke by 25 percent (less waste), as well as burns your buds to a fine white ash (again, less cleaning because of no tar left in the bowl). Oh yeah, it filters your smoke through around 1/2 gal. of water, and can sit on your living room table, and hidden in plain sight in less than 20 seconds.
