My advice? Be sure to grow a thick skin and wear body armor. Some people aren't too nice, especially if you don't agree in lockstep with them.

Oh...................and I hope you don't mind being called all sorts of things. That happens here too.

But, if you remember that you'll probably never actually meet anyone from here IRL, and don't give them any more importance than a bunch of phosphor dots on a computer screen that appears to have an opinion, you'll be just fine.

Wanna know how to really piss off some of the trolls? After they insult you, respond in a calm and reasonable way. Makes 'em go off the rails.

I can find dozens of posters here whose leftist views on every single issue align exactly with yours -- the sorts of posters where, if you know their opinion on one issue, you know them all.

How is this a conservative board, especially considering that a half dozen leftists have already posted in this very thread?

If you don't know this is predominantly a conservative board, try opening a thread arguing a position for gun control and see what happens. LOL. USMB welcomes all and they are fair in their moderation, but there are definitely more conservatives here and I believe that is pretty well known, isn't it, among those who visit these kinds of sites? At least that is what I've heard.
