    I started doing olympic lifts the summer after 8th grade for football. Do you know how many time I heard some 14 year old dbag say "huh huh, jerk and clean, huh huh, get it?"

    Depends on how you lift. If you're going for max lifts, yes, you are correct. The ends of your bones are still soft and you can screw up your growth potential by repeatedly lifting heavy weights.

    We were never allowed to use more than we could lift 6 times for 3 sets when I played high school football.

    But the strongest guy in the school (could bench press twice his bodyweight) was also one of the shortest.:lol:
