The POINT is that all those bombs and bullets need to be restocked for the next go 'round. Oh, sure, a few people will die horrible deaths, but just think of the way those stocks will SOAR!

We never questioned war against Iran last election. Even though there was no proof of a nuke even after Iraq's WMD situation......And perhaps some others heard about "war season" and "we can't stop war during peaks of war season"....!!

What Eisenhower was warning us was about the possibility that the defense industry might end up having too MUCH influence on American foreign policy decisions. That's basically an example of the tail wagging the dog which is exactly what's been happening with Israel and the US the last few years. We used to be able to keep them on a shorter leash than we seem to be able to do these days. That had the benefit of saving a lot of human tragedy and blowback on America since we're the ones supplying many of the weapons the Israelis use to kill Palestinians and destroy buildings and infrastructure.

How many rocket are acceptable to you to be fired into Israel before they have the right of self defense? How long would you sit by if rockets were being fired into your town?

Probably not long but then again there is no reason for anyone to be firing rockets on my town. Lots of reasons for both sides to be lobbing shit back and forth over there. It's the central problem here, both sides want vengeance and both sides deserve it. It's now an inter-generational blood feud, There is no ready solution even if a bunch of militant religiosity wasn't involved.
