George Patton quotes for this Friday.

General Patton's significant career, as a general, lasted 3 years, from 1942 through 1945, half of which time he was on probation and serving as a decoy to mislead the Germans about where D-Day was going to land. He was a loose cannon, and a pain in the ass to his superiors, including Bradley, and Ike, both of whom were promoted over him. Ike, especially, was not heartbroken when Patton died in late 1945.
Can you imagine Patton in Korea?

The RW historical revisionists are not even aware of the fact that the Soviets lost over 10 million dead soldiers in WW2, and still destroyed the German military machine, while the US only had that many total soldiers in uniform, and that included those fighting Japan, and those in logistics in the US.
It was the Soviets who defeated Hitler

We helped

Speaking of historical revisionists, the Allies should have declared war on both Hitler and Stalin for agreeing to divide Poland.

Both invaded.

Thank god that you did not choose a political career, or we would all be speaking German or Russian today. The US armed forces in 1939 were in the neighborhood of 350,000, while Germany had been preparing for war since 1933.

And Churchill stood up to Hitler alone with next to no army and refused to back down even tough Left wingers all around him begged for him to bow to Hitler.

Luckily, he was not a politician, he was a man with a set of morality and faith that good would ultimately prevail.
Churchill had the strongest Navy in the Atlantic and his Army barely escaped at Dunkirk. RAF saved them from invasion up till Hitler invaded Russia

It was the Russians who fended off the bulk of the German Army

I am fully persuaded that the US and UK could have fought them both off, especially since the US developed nukes first.

Instead, the allies subjected Eastern Europe and the world to a hellish torture that almost ended in tragedy over the Cuban missile crisis.

None of that need to have happened.

Even today we are paying a price with Putin.

History is not your Forte', Vox. Stick to defending current political disasters created by Trump.

If the German/Soviet alliance had held

It would have cost the US and Britain millions of lives to drive the Nazis out of Western Europe

I enjoyed Trumps “Secret plan” to defeat ISIS

Keep doing what Obama was doing

Facts and truth are abhorrent to you, aren't they?

As you know, and know well but are eager to lie about, President Donald Trump took off the kid gloves (rules of engagement preventing our heroes from doing their job" and unleashed a real general to lead them.

The Nazis were right wing

True, but they were Socialists as well.

Typically the political spectrum is shown as a straight line. In my opinion, it is a circle with the right and left extremes coming together at what would be viewed as the bottom of the circle.

Patton was a tactical genius and a political moron
MacArthur was no better
Political genius.
If we had taken Russia decades of Cold War would have never existed and all of the lives and money lost could have been used for good.

We lost no lives in the Cold War with USSR

An invasion of Russia would have cost hundreds of thousand of lives to obtain an objective we won anyway
You moron. America lost tens of thousands of lives in the Cold War. Training accidents, operational accidents, etc etc. Hell, just in the Berlin Airlift alone we had 76 casualties. The world was a blink away from all out nuclear war in 1963.
The Only Way the Russians Would've Backed Down

That was prevented by a deal between the CIA, which would take out the Kennedys, and the KGB, which would take out Khrushchev.

Compared to the hundreds of thousands we would have lost by invading Russia?
You idiot. In 1945 the Soviet army was a tiny shell and was totally dependent upon American weapons and ammunition. The population hated Stalin, Russians were doing their best to get to the West. We could have taken Moscow in a week.

You show why I hate public education. They never teach important things and idiots like you go off on uneducated rants.
The Bear Cave Is a Bottomless Pit

Hitler and Napoleon thought the same way you do.

Point to anything specifically Trump did in fighting ISIS that Obama had not already done
He relied on the same alliance that the Great Obama had built

It lacked wings

It just relied on the Soviets to do most of the fighting until they could invade with minimal losses

Do you what the term Rules of Engagement mean? I didn't think so.

You have yet to provide any facts. Only wild theory

Show where rules of engagement changes brought down ISIS

Doh!

Trump Orders New Military Strategy to Defeat ISIS

Although there be those that deride me for saying that the Allies should have declared war on the former USSR when they helped Hitler invade Poland, I find it telling that the only reason they question that is that they think they needed the help of Stalin to fight off Hitler. They don't question the moral justice of it though.

He ordered them to come up with a new strategy AFTER he had bragged that he had a secret strategy to defeat ISIS that he would not reveal until he was president

Let me get this straight. Trump said he had a strategy while campaigning, then after being elected implemented a plan he handed down to his Generals.
