Evolution and Extinction

How is it that a creature supposedly "Extinct" for 80MM years is still swimming around -- completely unevolved. Triceratops were walking the Earth with this thing

A dinosaur-era shark with insane teeth was found swimming off the coast of Portugal

Some people are saying CrusaderFrank is unevolved, I for one tend to believe them.

It was a thought provoking topic, sorry if you feel left out

Is evolution a force like gravity that's applied equally across all species at all times?

Another creationist demonstrating the willful ignorance that is their stock in trade.

You'd think after 80MM years of "Evolution" it would have grown thumbs and make lasers

It lives in the ocean and eats squid. Why would it need thumbs, or lasers?

We lived in trees and ate fruit...why did we need to evolve?

Changes in our environment. Grasslands began taking over the forests.

We're not talking about rocks, we're talking about creatures that can travel

Travel across open grasslands is dangerous as opposed to living in the trees. Those who could stand upright and see the predators had a better chance to survive.

What about when the trees grow back, will the species tend to revert back?

But you'll admit if evolution is a force that constantly acts on species, it's odd that a species can be relatively unchanged over a period of hundreds of millions of years

Evolution is not an all encompassing and constant force like gravity.

The term for that phenomenon is "stasis". And it's not of at all. In fact, it happens frequently. A physiology can be very stable, leading to a state wherein most mutations never end up dominating the genome.
