The precise nature of the confidential investigation, which is believed to be in its early stages, is unclear. The building is home to Fox Networks, the company’s channels business.

The European Commission has powers to raid businesses suspected of abusing their dominance of a market or being involved in a price fixing cartel. Investigators are able to take copies of documents and computer records, and ask for explanations from executives.

Sources at the 10 Hammersmith Grove development, which is shared with the tobacco company Philip Morris among others, said Commission officials were attempting to keep a low profile and that staff had been warned to keep details of the raid secret. It is understood that investigators are expected to remain on site through Wednesday and possibly into Thursday.

Interesting! No clue what this is about, obviously but still. Kind of a doozy.

But it didn't happen here. I probably need to do some more digging - or they need to release more information. It's a big story, just no idea what it's about, rofl.

Hmm, all this criminal activity by the conservative crowd, always trying to cheat at something. Cheating is a human response to not being able to compete with others on an even playing field. When you can't compete, the weak resort to cheating.

Don't know what they are looking for! Have zero idea if it MIGHT have any connection to what's going on here. But certainly is interesting, huh?

The London headquarters of Fox boss Rupert Murdoch were raided by investigators working for the European Commission, the Telegraph reports. The headquarters house Fox’s broadcast operation.

“Sources at the location told the newspaper that authorities were trying to be discreet and had been told to keep details of their mission confidential,” according to CNBC.

The investigators will work throughout the day on Wednesday and maybe into Thursday, the report said.

Fox told CNBC that it was “cooperating fully with the EC inspection.”

Investigators from the European Commission on Tuesday raided the London offices of Rupert Murdoch’s 21st Century Fox, according to the Daily Telegraph.

A spokesperson for Fox Networks Group confirmed to Variety that the company was “cooperating fully” with the Commission’s inspection.

A Commission spokesperson would only confirm that investigators had carried out “unannounced inspections” on Tuesday in several EU countries at companies involved in the “distribution of sports media rights and other related rights.”

“The Commission has concerns that the companies involved may have violated EU antitrust rules that prohibit cartels and restrictive business practices,” the Commission said in a statement.

The Telegraph reported that documents and computer records were seized, and that investigators are expected to remain at the company offices through Wednesday and possibly into Thursday.

If you really wanted to know-

Rupert Murdoch's film and media giant 21st Century Fox says it is cooperating with the European Commission after officials raided its Fox Network offices in London.

EC competition authorities are reported to have seized documents relating to sport media rights earlier on Tuesday.

Other companies involved in sports rights have also received what the EC called "unannounced inspections".

It is unclear which other companies were raided and when.

"The commission has concerns that the companies involved may have violated EU anti-trust rules that prohibit cartels and restrictive business practices," the European Commission said in a statement.

"Unannounced inspections are a preliminary step into suspected anti-competitive practices."

The statement said it "does not mean that the companies are guilty of anti-competitive behaviour, nor does it prejudge the outcome of the investigation itself".

That is precisely why liberals lie so much and oppose voter ID. In a fair fight, they haven't the clout to win.
