Since Britain disarmed their people....the criminals do not fear breaking into occupied homes. In fact, it makes their job easier since they take the family hostage and get them to tell them where the good stuff is......
they don't have to fear being shot out of their socks...so they don't care if people are home...
Burglars ransack family's Chislehurst home amid spate of violent raids
Four men broke their way in through a rear door before keeping a family hostage, including an 81-year-old pensioner and an 11-year-old boy.
Waving hammers and crowbars, the thieves threatened the family with violence if they did not tell them where they kept their jewellery.
The armed attackers squirted the 81-year-old man in the face with what was believed at the time to be a corrosive substance.
A teenage girl was dragged upstairs to show them where valuables were hidden, while the 11-year-old boy was dragged from the lounge to the hallway where the rest of the family were sitting.
Do you think they left the girl alone?
