Emma Stone Gets Oscar For Going Full-Retard

I had to turn this piece of garbage off after only 10 minutes. It was so despicable it made me a little sick to my stomach. Yet Emma Stone was nominated for an Oscar for her portrayal of a mentally challenged woman, and she won.

One of the opening scenes shows her tossing food and smashing plates.

What range she has.

Like being retarded has never been tried before. (Forrest Gump)

"Poor Things" is right up there with movies like "There Will Be Blood" for being depressing and disgusting.

If you want to see this piece of filth out of morbid curiosity, go for it. It's hailed by critics as "The Raunchiest Film Of The Decade".
I won't bother watching this crapfest to the end. I had enough.

I'm interested to see what Rottentomatoes gave it as a rating. Here it is. 92. What a surprise!!!! :auiqs.jpg:

The promo is real crappy

I’ll never watch that garbage

Her performance is the only reason to watch the movie.
It was a spectacle. Like watching a slow-mo of a massive traffic pile-up. With all the details.
The sex scenes are way over the top, and did nothing to propel the movie that is at least 30 minutes too long.
She is a very good actress, whose talents were wasted on a movie that is so bizarre and weird that it is wonderful and terrible at the same time.
Now about Walrus....

She wasn't "retarded," she was reanimated from death. Like Frankenstein's monster. As I recall, that monster behaved in a way that some would perceive as "retarded" as well. That is not the case, however, in either movie. Her character is learning, or perhaps re-learning would be a better phrase, about the world she apparently forgot in death.

It would help to understand the movie when criticizing it...

I don't care to understand a film based off of the teachings of Satan. Nothing about this film interests me. It's like they went out of their way to show the work of the Devil and convince us that Satan loves us. You worship Satan, so of course you understand this.

BTW, I don't remember Lazarus going retard when he was brought back to life.

No, I don't worship Satan. And just like Frankenstein and Bella Baxter, Lazarus and his story is a work of fiction.

But good for you that you find strength in your faith, truly.

Frankenstein is a work of fiction by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley. Jesus raising Lazarus from the grave is real.

If you say so.
You assume so many things are real that are not, yet you snicker at someone who believes in something that has to be taken on faith.

What you fail to do is pay attention to people actions instead of their words.

I always pay attention to people's actions first.

Talk is cheap. Your actions speak louder than words.

The fruit of a bad tree is always bad. That's why I don't feel the urge to watch "Poor Things" because it's clear to me that the creators of this film are just as sick as the plot.

If you want to see a film that will open your eyes.....watch "The Zone Of Interest".

It's a film about a Nazi family living next to Auschwitz in as normal a setting as you could imagine, taking into account the horrors that were taking place only a few feet away. It lets the viewer know how the Nazis were able to exterminate so many people and most of the people in the town didn't even know it was going on. Hitler made killing Jews a necessary thing to many of them.

What's your deal? I express that I think it's good that you find strength in your faith, with all sincerity, and you continue. I acquiesce to your belief in Lazarus' resurrection by Jesus with a simple sentence and you feel compelled to give me a lecture.

Thanks for the movie tip, but I don't need my eyes opened. Not only have I understood for a very long time how the Nazis got away with it, I read the book your movie tip was based on almost a decade ago when it was published. The movie was almost as good.

Have a shiny, sparkly day...

You were there?? It was a long time ago, maybe you forgot a few details?

Sorry if I offended you, but I wanted to point out that Christians aren't the clueless dolts you assume them to be.

You wouldn't think that if it weren't for the warped image that they are constantly portrayed as in movies and television.

When you say "If you say so" it's pretty obvious what you think of anyone who is a born again Christian. "If you say so" is no compliment.

And it's clear that if you lean toward being a Socialist/Democrat you didn't learn the lessons from the book you say you read.

That's why these evil socialists use censorship. To make their crimes against humanity not appear as evil, and to keep people from being alarmed as the noose is innocently being placed around their own necks, like is being placed around ours in America by the socialists.

You won't know just how badly you screwed up until it becomes your turn to find out the hard way.

That's my deal, bubba.

Having experienced real hardship in my life, and having seen with my own eyes just how bad things can get if the wrong people are allowed to run things, I don't want the same thing happening to us.

When it comes to movies, I tend to enjoy uplifting subject matter rather than evil and horror.

She did not play a retard. She played a woman who had the brain of a baby implanted into her skull.

Despite numerous displays of her bare breasts and nipples, and even some display of her vulva, the movie was largely uninteresting. She even simulated getting fucked with several naked actors and also simulated getting head from a female actor. Nothing made those scenes (or the movie) worthy of any academy award.

The sex scenes were over the top. Too graphic, too long and too many.
Didn't do anything to propel the story. Totally unnecessary.

Open revolt. Not a bunch of Grandmas getting tricked into entering the Capital.

They had to release the Shaman because they showed videos of him being taken on a tour of the Capital during this "insurrection" and praying for the police and congress.
Not true..they released him because his time was up..simple as that~
Stop with the fake newz, if you even can.

Jacob Chansley, the convicted Jan. 6 rioter who was dubbed the “QAnon Shaman” thanks to viral photographs of his outlandish getup, has been released from prison and transferred to a halfway house more than a year before he was initially set to be released.
His former attorney and legal experts say it has nothing to do with Tucker Carlson, or the Fox News host’s broadcast of footage of Chansley seemingly being led through the hallways of the U.S. Capitol by police.
Federal prison records indicate that Chansley, a self-described shaman and a follower of the QAnon conspiracy theory, entered a “residential reentry management” facility in Phoenix, Ariz. on Tuesday with a release date of May 25—around 14 months ahead of his scheduled release.

The Bureau of Prisons has not commented on the reason for his early release, but noted that recent changes to the First Step Act allows inmates to earn “up to 54 days of good conduct time for each year of the sentence imposed by the court.” Federal and state prison inmates often earn sentence reductions over the course of their time behind bars.

Jesus......you'll believe anything those liars tell you.

They had to release him as soon as evidence was produced showing that he did nothing wrong. Meanwhile they're keeping the rest of them in prison because they don't want any of them testifying in a court of law to what they saw in Jan 6th.

Poor Things is a great movie.

Emma Stone is not a retard. She is a female Frankenstein monster, except she grows more intelligent as time passes.

Emma Stone plays a woman who committed suicide and had her brain replaced by a fetus's brain. Thus, she develops intellectually as time passes, and eventually becomes smarter than everyone around her.

So if you quit after 10 minutes, then you are the retard basing your judgment out of ignorance.

The writing is amazing. Genius. Brilliant. There are profound concepts behind it. In fact, this is the only movie I have ever watched in which the sex scenes are actually relevant to the plot!

The cinematography reminds me of a Wes Anderson film. So much so that I had to look up who the director was to be sure it was not Wes Anderson.

Open your mind and you will love this movie.

I was one of the people that gave up on it too early. I just didn’t get the point. Next time I’ll watch it to the end
