In a dependant and enslaved country.
Why is Obama allowing blacks to destroy Maryland's capitol?

Article IV, Section 4: Obligations of the Federal Government and the President (the primary function of the federal government).

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions

The answer is Yes or No depending on what you mean by "protect". Please clarify.

The Constitutional definition of defend, which is provided in the OP.
The federal government has provided funds and equipment to outfit National guard units in the state as well is any other things that are clearly the responsibility of the federal government. What do you want in addition to this? Regular army troops? Federally imposed martial law?

The National Guard is there.

People really should think before they post, things get a little scary and all the sudden the libertarians want some troops and tanks on the street and they want them now.

The Militia is now the National Guard. They are being deployed today, right? Can you imagine the rabid outcry if President Obama took it upon himself to declare an emergency, and sent in the NG on his own authority?

Because the majority of the male population within the black community are law breakers ...They have a sub-culture that hates the law and has a lot of hatred towards our society for enforcing it against them. Most blacks feel that the law is shit and the rest of the country is the devil no matter if the law is for a good reason or not. It just doesn't matter that they should destroy their communities as they don't care.

Sorry to say, Obama also sides with this mindset and this is why we're dealing with constant riots under the bastards.

Beautiful use of stereotype, so broad brushed, so terribly ignorant.

A better question is, "why hasn't something been done to prevent members of law enforcement personnel from committing such acts as murder, rape, stealing, lying in court, covering for other dishonest cops, brutality, taking bribes from drug dealers and pimps, writing quota tickets, spousal abuse, child molestation, and other acts that they arrest ordinary citizens for?" Why do cops and other members of law enforcement get a free pass by the judicial system 99% of the time? Why aren't more cops arrested, tried, convicted, and sentenced for the same crimes that they arrest others for?

The people protesting should protest against the inhumane, uncivil, animalistic, and barbaric acts by members of law enforcement. We should all be protesting with them. The events made public just within the past year, warrant and merit protesting by ordinary citizens. That doesn't include the uncivil inhumane acts prior to this past year. The judicial system should work equally for ALL citizens, and not show favoritism to members of law enforcement.

Everyone wants to criticize those protesting, but no one wants to take a good close look at why they're protesting. The attention is on the burning of buildings and cars, the looting, the throwing of bricks and bottles, and the other property damage, but hardly any attention is given to WHY the protests are happening in the first place. If we were to be fair, we'd say, yes, the burning, looting, and property damage is wrong, terribly wrong. But, in the same breath we'd say that members of law enforcement instigated the events by their own acts, and are directly responsible for the results of their actions. Everyone wants to forget the death of Mr. Gray, and focus solely on the consequences and damage caused by the protest. Being fair would mean that we would say that the destruction and looting is very wrong, but the cops caused it by their actions. Lets place the blame where the blame belongs.

:clap2:

Beautifully articulated, but if you're gonna insist on applying actual context to Twitter-depth analyses, you're gonna upset the whole apple cart of a facile "us and them" sound bite.

You meanie. They were having such fun with Facile.

Carpet bombing perhaps? This is 2nd we're talking about here. The normal bounds of common sense just don't apply.

It can be summed up in one simple statement. 1. Every citizen has a civic duty to obey the law. There are no other explanations. Period.

And I take it that you mean cops also? And, do you also agree that we all must follow the law as it applies to having one's day in court?
