Actual communism means the government seizes control of the economy and micromanages the use of everything. Democratic socialism does not do that. Individuals can and do prosper.

Yeah, I've heard this one before. Why is that not possible? They have less people yes, but that also means they have less spending ability. We could absolutely do what they do. Even if this argument was valid, which it's not, we could at least emulate some of what they do.

Who would invade them? They are part of the European Union. Putin isn't an idiot. The European Union can defend itself, and it's not like we couldn't be there helping them in a day anyway. Our presence in Europe is not necessary.
