You no doubt are opposed to both of those things, but I have a question. Do you understand and recognize the difference between them, or do you see them as the same?

They both favor the collective over the individual, so neither is compatible with US values.

The Scandinavian countries have universal healthcare, work/pay regulations and free college to name a few things. Oh, and they are the happiest countries on Earth. You don't think those things favor individuals?

Communism over-does it so much that it's over in a few short decades.

For democratic socialism it takes much longer to fail, as the welfare moms are replicating endlessly creating welfare babies at the expense of the intelligent providers. At the end nothing but them is left and they starve.

Communism couldn't do what democratic socialism does, which is to a large degree replacing the European population.

Do you believe the corporation also favors the collective over the majority of individuals?

Actual communism means the government seizes control of the economy and micromanages the use of everything. Democratic socialism does not do that. Individuals can and do prosper.

Democratic socialists are committed to systemic transformation of the economy from capitalism to socialism.

Ergo, socialists.

And as Lenin once quipped, "The goal of Socialism is Communism."

Also, there are 2 ways Leftists can control a business/economy.

1. As stated, take over the means of production.

But 2 is even more insidious, because the citizens do not even know it is happening. And what is that?

2. Regulate the hell out of it, and TAX IT to death, thus controlling it, without ever owning it! That was the story with our past Socialist President, Obysmal.

Yeah, a lot of people say a lot of stuff. Something tells me the Scandinavian countries aren't going to turn communist. Social safety nets and the ability to get educated without going into severe debt aren't going to turn us communist either. You're off your rocker if you think people like Bernie Sanders want the government to take over the economy and end the potential for individual success. ;)

You do understand that renaming the failed policies you’re promoting doesn’t change the results right?

Scandinavian economies are doing great. Generally speaking the left simply wants to emulate what they do.

You're not even going to have anybody from the controlls on here tell you the difference between Nazism and Communism.
