Communism and Democratic Socialism. A question for conservatives.

Comparing Scandinavian countries to the United States is like comparing apples and oranges. What works there will not work here. Scandinavian countries are no where as diverse and have no where near the population of the United States.

Dude thinks the "Winter Olympics" are capitalism...

They aren't.

They are sport run entirely by GOVERNMENT....

DUH....
Exactly. The things they claim identify people or groups as loathesome *capitalists* are actually leftist/progressive ideological trademarks.

Which is why I love it when someone tells us that gun-confiscation has worked over somewhere in Europe.

Seems like the right wing only gets upset when they hear about the citizenry getting 'free stuff', and never when the corporations and banks get their frequent bailouts. Actually in the history of our country, the free market never stood alone for very long without going to government for help. We need a mix of capitalism and socialism just like we need opposite political parties. When one gets out of hand, people start to vote for the opposition. I give the republicans a few years at most and they'll be out of favor. Back and forth.

You no doubt are opposed to both of those things, but I have a question. Do you understand and recognize the difference between them, or do you see them as the same?

They both favor the collective over the individual, so neither is compatible with US values.

.
Do you believe the corporation also favors the collective over the majority of individuals?

What's the difference between the collective and the majority of individuals? I said THE INDIVIDUAL.

.
It's the same difference as that between a group of people (COLLECTIVE) and an INDIVIDUAL legal entity.

Corporation - Wikipedia

"A corporation is a company or group of people authorized to act as a single entity (legally a person) and recognized as such in law."

The great thing about corporations, if you don't like them, you take your business elsewhere. If enough people do that, they cease to exist.

How does democratic socialism lead to communism? Are the Scandinavian countries on the path to communism?

ALL forms of government inevitably lead to one of two permanent states:
either
  • RULED BY A GROUP (Oligarchy)
  • RULED BY LAW (Republic)
Washington DC liberals and their bureaucracy = oligarchy.
Corrupt judges legislating from the bench = oligarchy.

You don't know what the difference is????

The Scandinavian countries have universal healthcare, work/pay regulations and free college to name a few things. Oh, and they are the happiest countries on Earth. You don't think those things favor individuals?

Lmfao ... so tell us what military protects their dumb ass?

And the perfect example is the current debate in California. Starting in 2020 if you want to build a new house there...............you must install a Solar Panel System in your house. Whether you want one or not.

You must OBEY THE COLLECTIVE....................and they will save you from yourself..........

I pay about 12 cents per KWH.................California 20 cents..................in Germany they pay 30 cents...............who went full socialism on the Global Warming Agenda................almost 250% increase of what I'd have to pay for electricity.

Winner...

Yes,

Social democracy-Has a public and private sector economy that is regulated for the good of the population. Social democracies uses the government as the referee to protect the worker and the consumer from the abuse of the corporation. Also social democracies typically have free elections and seek more options in the political process...Canada, UK, Germany and many european countries have many parties.

Communism-Everything is controlled by the public(the group of assholes at the top mostly but the public sector is what we call government maintained stuff!) in general. No private property and no ownership! Everything is divided equally for the most part if you're not part of the elite at the time. Also in most cases there's no political freedom. Government controls the businesses and every element of the economy.

Big difference.

Bullshit Jessica they have the fucking Untied state's military and tax payers protecting their ass

The United States of America is not positioned to be socialist abs definitely not communist. The World depends on US.

Why does that mean it won't work? Our economy may not be in the best shape right now, but because of our population and wealth it is far more robust overall. We could do it too.
