Communism and Democratic Socialism. A question for conservatives.

Putin is a "gun to the head" of those in government who otherwise would steal and do no work, like most US government employees.

Without that "gun,"

socialism/communism just slides into total kleptocracy until the money is gone, the currency is worthless, and the jobless working class is throwing rocks through bank windows....
A corrupt capitalist state where everyone pays bribes and the mafia rules all, and oligarchs connected to the ruler can do anything they want, is just as bad.

On the other hand, a Mafia state can also pay the salary of online trolls.

A corrupt socialist state.

They both favor the collective over the individual, so neither is compatible with US values.

The Scandinavian countries have universal healthcare, work/pay regulations and free college to name a few things. Oh, and they are the happiest countries on Earth. You don't think those things favor individuals?

Try flooding them with 300,000 illiterate immigrants a year for a couple of decades and get back to me.

Good for them, I am happy for them, however I prefer our politics over theirs. I have a chance to work and to determine my life, they have no risk or reward benefit which goes against my beliefs. Maybe those that cherish universal healthcare, free college and work/pay regulations should consider moving to an area that helps them accomplish their goals.
Really??? I live in a social Democracy, I work because I want to be able to go on vacation, want to pay the mortgage to my house, I want to have a decent car. The fact that if I wouldn't work, my kid would still go to college, I'll still have access to good health care, a roof over my head and food in my mouth doesn't change my motivation to try to have a comfortable life.

Good for you, I’m happy for you, I prefer working a good job and enjoying what’s I earn. You feel comfortable with a safety net, that is cool for you, I wouldn’t care for it. I go on vacations, I pay my mortgage, I have very nice cars I have good health care and food in my mouth, the same as you. I like the idea of greater risk and a greater reward. Why would you want to impose you want to impose your ideals on me? I certainly don’t wish to impose my ideals on you.

You no doubt are opposed to both of those things, but I have a question. Do you understand and recognize the difference between them, or do you see them as the same?

Do you believe the corporation also favors the collective over the majority of individuals?

What's the difference between the collective and the majority of individuals? I said THE INDIVIDUAL.

What risks do you feel aren't available to me? I replied to your premise that having a stronger social safety net somehow makes me less motivated. I explained that I have much the same motivation as you. So if all things are the same but you are at a risk to loose everything not just for you but also for your offspring, while I am not, what exactly do you like better?

Yes,

Social democracy-Has a public and private sector economy that is regulated for the good of the population. Social democracies uses the government as the referee to protect the worker and the consumer from the abuse of the corporation. Also social democracies typically have free elections and seek more options in the political process...Canada, UK, Germany and many european countries have many parties.

Communism-Everything is controlled by the public(the group of assholes at the top mostly but the public sector is what we call government maintained stuff!) in general. No private property and no ownership! Everything is divided equally for the most part if you're not part of the elite at the time. Also in most cases there's no political freedom. Government controls the businesses and every element of the economy.

Big difference.

And the perfect example is the current debate in California. Starting in 2020 if you want to build a new house there...............you must install a Solar Panel System in your house. Whether you want one or not.

You must OBEY THE COLLECTIVE....................and they will save you from yourself..........

I pay about 12 cents per KWH.................California 20 cents..................in Germany they pay 30 cents...............who went full socialism on the Global Warming Agenda................almost 250% increase of what I'd have to pay for electricity.

I like the reward of the risk, you will never understand since you have a safety net, I can risk more and have a greater reward of keeping what I make and making more money for myself and the idea to sell a business and have a reward for building it. I have done it a couple of times and am working to do it again. I make $100’s of thousands of dollars and the next deal could land me millions or nothing, that is the risk I choose to take. You have no stake in me so why do you care if we are socialists or capitalists? It should be no concern to you or to those in Russia however you all think it is.

Again what risk do you think I'm prohibited from taking? I can start, sell and own a business. as a matter of fact, I'm in the process of doing it myself, granted early stages but still. If you feel that I don't have a right to question you, when you claim there's something wrong with MY motivation because I have a safety net don't you think you are being unfair?

Then you have a safety net, I don’t care, I don’t want or need one. My risk is much greater, you are motivated good deal, I really don’t care, your country is of no interest to me. I prefer capitalism over socialism, I control my workers, my product, my price and my own outcome, plus when I sell the company I will make my money and I’ll be able to reinvest my profit without getting taxed to death. Why do you care whether I take a risk or not, I don’t care if you do, I don’t care if you are taxed, if you make a profit or are living in a socialist country. I hope you make billions and billions, your country will love you.

Communism is totalitarian. “Democratic Socialism “ allows you to vote for candidates who will continue to support a socialist state.

And as Lenin once quipped, "The goal of Socialism is Communism."

Yeah, a lot of people say a lot of stuff. Something tells me the Scandinavian countries aren't going to turn communist. Social safety nets and the ability to get educated without going into severe debt aren't going to turn us communist either. You're off your rocker if you think people like Bernie Sanders want the government to take over the economy and end the potential for individual success. ;)

How I view Democrats -

Scandinavian countries rely on us to protect their herring eating asses from Putin. They spen shit on national defense.

What's the difference between the collective and the majority of individuals? I said THE INDIVIDUAL.

.
It's the same difference as that between a group of people (COLLECTIVE) and an INDIVIDUAL legal entity.

Corporation - Wikipedia

"A corporation is a company or group of people authorized to act as a single entity (legally a person) and recognized as such in law."
