Republicans claim to be the conservative vote, libertarians are very much conservative... How hard is that? Just because the Republican party moves far left does not mean someone can't run that is center (Ron Paul). Most of all elected politicians are so far left people don't even know what center is anymore. Hell most people base left and right on believe in God or evolution, neither being policy.

I find this a common Libertarian response - if you can't really debate what was posted - post something that suggests you have superior knowledge in an unrelated topic.
Tell me what does "the caucus" system have to do with Libertarians getting 3itch slapped by the GOP? What does it have to do with getting 12% of the vote? I never said Paul doesn't deserve delegates. I think it is interesting that he can get more than the 12% he actually earned, but who cares? It's their party - they can pick their candidates by any way they choose.

So how is that GOP a$$ tasting to you these days? Still not ready to seperate your lips from it? Up to you - I just don't get it - since you do have a Libertarian Party in America??? Don't you ????

I can't debate you on this because you don't have the tools to even discuss the matter. The polular vote is non-binding in many caucus states. That means its basically a poll. The real voting is done by those that are involved in the process of delegate selection. The process is open to anyone who wants to be involved and can attend the necessary conventions. Caucuses are won through grassroots organization and dedication. In other words, if I am willing to devote hours and hours to getting my candidate elected as opposed to just showing up on Tuesday between dinner and American Idol, then my vote matters more.

THe Republican party is what its members want it to be. If more of them support libertarian ideals then the platform will reflect that. Why would I start a retail store to compete with Walmart if I could just buy Walmart?

Again, you would have a point but Republicans are thrilled to have the libertarian vote, they spend a huge part of their campaign trying to appeal to Libertarians and other conservatives. The Republican party has always considered the libertarians part of their party.

Harding was a Republican who is very much in line with Ron Paul as far as policy would go… Mitt would be about as far left that you could possibly get during that time. So the question is who hijacked the party? Libertarians or Progressive liberals? Based on the change of policy it would be Progressives. Libertarians and conservatives just want their party back.

If a vote for Ron Paul is a vote for a libertarian, and Paul’s support has roughly doubled to tripled in size in just 4 years... Here are some facts for you though. THe libertarian Philosophy is older than this country and the ideals espoused were included in the Declaration of Independence. Specifically, "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness" You can look that up if you want. All political parties in this country owe their existence to Libertarians. Unfortunately they have diverged from the intentions of the founders and it's up to Libertarians once again to set things right.
