Gay Marriage, a civil right or a state right? Civil Rights need to be Federally protected. The President doesn't think Gay marriage is.
    What say you?

"Civil rights" are merely special carve-outs for certain politically protected identity groups, granted from on high to the proles in those groups.

Marriage falls under the Article 1, Section 10 right to contract, which isn't granted to the hoi polloy by the state but is an inherent natural right.

In essence, the state marriage license isn't a contract between the principals being joined, but between that couple and the state....It's a defacto waiver from polygamy laws.

This should not even be a government issue at a Federal or State level...........leave people's bedrooms to them.

Let's talk about real issues, like the economy, K??

There never should have been state involvement in regulating the personal relationships between two adults from the beginning.

You mean small 'r', as in a State's right to set the privledge in this instance.

Civil rights related to the big 'R' rights as in those our Christian Libertarian Founders explicitedly determined to be granted to mankind by our Creator.
