Can someone explain to me...

No. The NRA doesn't make laws

Try again

They influence those who do . You going to deny that???

All issues have lobbiests. But they don't make law. You're chasing your tail. Try a new tactic

The NRA regularly writes gun law, and then distributes it to their bought and paid for politicians to pass.

But they don't pass laws do they? You clowns won't win this one. Try a different approach

Not directly. They pay to have it done.

The question posed is does the NRA make and vote laws into place?

Yes or No? No doublespeak just yes or no

Who said the NRA voted on laws? That's just more gun nut misdirection. The NRA does regularly write laws that are presented and voted in by their owned politicians.

The ra doesn’t vote. They have the puppets do it.

Four deputies chose to neglect their duty. The FBI neglected theirs. I'm pretty sure the NRA didn't tell them to do that. These people swore an oath, and they violated that oath. I'm pretty sure the NRA didn't tell them to do that. The NRA didn't order them to neglect their duties, they didn't tell the deputies to wait outside while Nikolas Cruz murdered 17 people. So can someone explain to me what role the NRA played in this travesty of justice? Where is the NRA in all of this? And please, spare me the laments of their political clout in Washington... not even they have enough influence to drive something like this.

The Left has been using the NRA as a scapegoat, to cover for the failure of policies they introduced almost 30 years ago.

Feb. 5, 2016: A Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy is told by an anonymous caller that Nikolas Cruz, then 17, had threatened on Instagram to shoot up his school and posted a photo of himself with guns. The information is forwarded to BSO Deputy Scot Peterson, a school resource officer at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

25aa.png
Sept. 23, 2016: A “peer counselor” reports to Peterson that Cruz had possibly ingested gasoline in a suicide attempt, was cutting himself and wanted to buy a gun. A mental health counselor advises against involuntary committing Cruz. The high school says it will conduct a threat assessment.

25aa.png
Sept. 28, 2016: An investigator for the Florida Department of Children and Families rules Cruz is stable, despite “fresh cuts” on his arms. His mother, Lynda Cruz, says in the past he wrote “hate signs” on his book bag and had recently talked of buying firearms.

25aa.png
Sept. 24, 2017: A YouTube user named “nikolas cruz” posts a comment stating he wants to become a “professional school shooter.” The comment is reported to the FBI in Mississippi, which fails to make the connection to Cruz in South Florida.

25aa.png
Nov. 1, 2017: Katherine Blaine, Lynda Cruz’s cousin, calls BSO to report that Nikolas Cruz had weapons and asks that police recover them. A “close family friend” agrees to take the firearms, according to BSO.

25aa.png
Nov. 29, 2017: The Palm Beach County family that took in Cruz after the death of his mother calls the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office to report a fight between him and their son, 22. A member of the family says Cruz had threatened to “get his gun and come back” and that he has “put the gun to others’ heads in the past.” The family does not want him arrested once he calms down.

25aa.png
Nov. 30, 2017: A caller from Massachusetts calls BSO to report that Cruz is collecting guns and knives and could be a “school shooter in the making.” A BSO deputy advises the caller to contact the Palm Beach sheriff.

25aa.png
Jan. 5, 2018: A caller to the FBI’s tip line reports that Cruz has “a desire to kill people” and could potentially conduct a school shooting. The information is never passed on to the FBI’s office in Miami.

Feb. 14, 2018: Nikolas Cruz attacks Stoneman Douglas High. Peterson, the school’s resource officer, draws his gun outside the building where Cruz is shooting students and staff. He does not enter.

Who said the NRA caused people to be cowards and neglect their duty?

No police officer is required to commit suicide in the performance of their duty. Their first duty is to go home at the end of their shift.

If the police have no idea what’s going on, they’re not required to run Willy nilly right into it.

Who said they were required to commit suicide? I just said he was a coward. What happened to being a hero like they claim all cops are?

That's an absurd question. Who said the NRA had anything to do with the police failing in their duties? Gun nut misdirection isn't nearly as effective as you wish it was.

You're blaming them for the all the carnage that took place. You seem to think they have so much sway in this country that they can convince literally anyone with a gun to go on a shooting spree.

What logic is there in blaming the NRA for the actions of the mass murderer? They don't write or pass laws, and they have no overall effect on how our current gun laws work.

And contrary to your belief, I don't own a gun, but I am quite proficient with one.

What duty did the FBI "neglect"?

Warning signs aren't the same thing as crimes. We don't have a pre-crime unit in the FBI.

You're putting words in my mouth.

Warning signs aren't crimes, indeed. But they are things that should be acted upon, not ignored. The FBI is an investigative unit. They can act on these warning signs without arresting anyone.

Perhaps you forget how the FBI works. I'm sure they're supposed to investigate all leads and "warning signs" to determine their credence. I'm not saying they are or should be the Gestapo.

Don't think it was a coincidence that all four stayed outside. It's RULES or TRAINING. And that falls on the leadership in the Sheriffs Dept.

I half wonder if the SRO was told to keep his gun unloaded and was caught outside without any ammo when the shooting started.

Wouldn't be surprised a bit if that does come out..

Curious, just because they get money from the NRA doesn't mean they have to do what the NRA says.

Don't be obtuse.

When children are being massacred it's time to break "rules".

It's too late to fix an empty gun when your out on the athletic field.

Should have never been empty (if it was) and the four shitstain should have acted. Children were dying

Evidently cops from Coral Springs have different rules or have been trained differently....they went in.
