Even if you choose to believe that spin, it becomes irrelevant once others latch on to it and promote it. Not the story itself, but the continued use of the story. So what if some members of the Clinton staff used the story. That does not legitimize the efforts made years later to promote the story without some kind of real evidence of the truthfulness of the story. In fact, one might argue the first reporters of the story have the excuse that it was an early report and later reporters of the story had far more compelling evidence to the falsity of story when they renewed efforts of reporting it.

Dirty little secret that isn't a real secret. The counts must be done and certified to count. If they aren't, they don't count. So, if any one of the states that are supposed to go to Trump don't finish and certify the count, Trump does not get those votes.
