BUT...I was laughing my butt off at some of the others he posted. Now I remember why I liked him so much. He cracked me the hell up.

Damn... that's hilarious... yeah I liked the Gunny too. We chatted a lot in PM's. He went over to the "other" board too, but it appears he has vanished from there as well now.

Yep...he was one of the reasons I went back. I miss him. I liked reading his posts.

I considered being a supporting member but I don't want the red haze. It's the ugliest color of the bunch and hard on the eyes. I'd be o.k. with just contributing if I can go bold or staying as I am as blue looks good. I can see coloring the mods but everyone else-it's like we landed on OZ or something.

and that still does not answer my question... what is the difference between contributing and supporting...

according to AD they are different. I would tend to agree as some are in bold and others are in color

Supporting means you have it set up so that they automatically get the money from your account every year.

I contributed once and was disappointed then that I didn't get a little supporter's flag by my name. That's when I learned the difference between supporting and contributing.

After that I became glad that I didn't get the flag because of how people make fun of supporters.

Ok people, I must make a correction here regarding names in bold that some are seeing in the Currently Online Users list at the bottom of the main page.
It turns out, that donating members do not receive their names in bold as I previously thought. (sorry Pop )
What it most likely is, is that the users cookies haven't expired yet, though they are no longer signed in.
